A relaxing base for exploring Cochin. A very warm welcome awaits including being invited to share lunch Keralan style. Lovely pool in a charming garden. Ideal for a couple of days. Rooms are comfortable.

Having stayed in dozens of places around India over the years this place is one of the most special. Created with love and attention to detail, the environment allows you to relax away from the noise and action of Fort Cochin. Rooms are spacious with everything you require, no packaging and no wastage. The simple cotton towels were large and very practical as they dry much more quickly than a regular hotel towel. The breakfast was plentiful, fresh and delicious, best coffee in South India. The staff were caring and well informed. A pleasure to stay here

A place built with Love and Passion for nature, it's guests and the local community. You will find super clean upper class spacious rooms with Luxury bathrooms.
Breakfast with homemade bread, homemade mermelades, muesli, pancakes, yogurt, fruit salad and the best cafe latte in India... All surrounded by a peaceful garden and birds singing.
Service is best in town, dedicated, refined and smiling.
Perfect place for a retreat to boost your senses and creativity.
Morning yoga, a quiet pool, and a building that respects nature, the local architecture style, all with an exquisite European/occidental touch make it perfect for a smooth less stay in Fort Kochi.
Ideal for families, couples, solos... If you appreciate cleningness, peace, friendly service and refined decoration, surrounded by nature and beautiful life vibe!!!
ENJOY!

We're so glad we chose The Secret Garden for our stay in Kochin- central, but a tranquil retreat from the dust and bustle of the city. Our room was simple and elegant with a lovely verandah to relax on and enjoy the peaceful inner courtyard. The pool was geat for cooling off at the end of the day. Excellent breakfasts and a warm welcome. Many thanks to Thora and staff.

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights, and left wishing we had booked for longer. Very friendly and helpful staff, clean and comfortable rooms, a clean and refreshing swimming pool, what more could you ask for. Oh I know, a delicous breakfast, which is what you get here each morning with fresh juice, home made bread and pancakes, fresh fruit... yum. We enjoyed our stay here so much that we stayed for another day at the end of our 2 week tour! We will definitely stay here again. Thank you.

I stayed here for 5 nights and plan to return for a much more extensive stay. This is the kind of hotel that you visit just to enjoy the hotel. Each room is beautifully decorated, comfortable and a personal oasis. The staff take pride in welcoming and attending to their guests as if they are treasured family. There is a daily yoga class followed by a delicious fresh breakfast of fruits, juices, yogurt and freshly baked bread. The proprietor, Thora, personally took me to some of her favorite spots for shopping and eating. The city of Fort Cochin is loaded with interesting sites. I am definitely coming back.

This place is just fantastic. We stayed for our first 2 nights of a one month trip to Kerala and loved it so much as we altered our plans so we could return here at the end of our trip. It’s terrific value, we stayed in other places that were much more expensive but this was our favourite place. The pool is lovely, the perfect temperature and a real oasis away from the hustle and bustle of Fort Kochi. The rooms are beautiful and simple with four-poster beds, and large en suites. The second time we stayed we had the suite with was amazing. I walked into the room and said, “wow”. It is huge. There’s a lovely day bed in an alcove complete with Hindu murals as well as a desk, plenty of storage and a very large en suite. The breakfast is simple but lovely with home made bread, honey, muesli, juice and coffee. On our second visit they had added waffle batter and a waffle maker to the breakfast spread, which was lovely. Many thanks to the fantastic staff Joseph, Sudesh and Faizel for a wonderful stay. We hope to return one day.

Room Tip: The suite is stunning
