“Nice for a late snack”
Reviewed 19 March 2014

Very relaxed ; nice cakes ; good value ; just a nice place to hang out at anytime during the day; service can be a bit slow but that's part of the attraction!

“Yummy tea and cheesecake ”
Reviewed 15 March 2014 via mobile

We had the tea for two which was good without milk or sugar. The Blueberry cheesecake was delicious more yougart like but in a good way. The ginger lime soda was refreshing. Service was slow but the place was busy with tourists absolutely the chairs were comfy and plentiful.

Great tea, great food, great service by the very friendly owner. All in a really well designed room down a quiet street.

“nice atmosphere”
Reviewed 14 March 2014

It has a nice atmosphere in a peaceful location. For a while you can escape the hassle on the streets and relax with a nice cup of tea. The food is good, but nothing special - the normal indian dishes. Service can sometimes be slow.

“There's a Little Teapot...”
Reviewed 9 March 2014

The Teapot is just around the corner from the Koder House on Peter Celli Street, and so we found our way there within a few minutes of unpacking. Tiny from the outside, the Teapot opens up to a two-level restaurant cum art gallery, with gorgeous buttery yellow walls. Teapots, new and old, are everywhere - in a large sideboard, on bookshelves, even suspended like a Calder mobile. Tables are made from old tea crates, and the aura of shabby chic is pervasive. The selection of teas is great - from Darjeelings to Nilgiris, and Masala Chai to herbal infusions. We were celebrating a birthday and so enjoyed a "Nilgiri Tea for Two," a fresh lime soda (do not miss this if you are travelling in India - what a refreshing treat!), and a fabulous and large slice of chocolate cake, called "Death by Chocolate." A lovely little spot to enjoy a cuppa and relax.
