“Good but...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 April 2014

...could improve....the food is good but not excellent...you pay for the location, restaurant in a beautiful garden, with live music...good wines at the bar, lightings there are too strong and would be better less to give some intimacy

“Classy and expensive but worth the treat!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 April 2014

The setting is wonderful in the portugese courtyard, live music played whilst we ate and the food was utterly fabulous. As I said it's expensive for India, just over a £100 for 5 of us including a bottle of wine but so worth the splurge.

We visited for lunch and were very happy with the experience. Beautiful surroundings and nice fresh food and drinks on a hot day.

“Amazing setting, tasty food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 April 2014

The atmosphere at the Malabar House is excellent and the hotel, its grounds and several restaurants are worth a visit while in Kochi. We dined alfresco one very hot night and enjoyed a tasty Indian dinner followed by a European desert. The setting is so charming. The service was good. While in Kochi, one should come to the Malabar House.

“Indian food served as in European top restaurants”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 April 2014

For the second time we had a meal in Malabar House Fort Kochi. And no the first time was not a lucky strike. All was on the same level. If you want to be surprised go for one of the menus. It is great Indian food but served as in European top restaurants. One of the plates on the menu was duck and the meat was perfect, breast nice "rosé" and the leg was melting in your mouth. Rare to find food like this in India and ... also served in a nice surrounding on beautiful plates by staff knowing their job. A MUST
