I stayed at Tissa's inn for one night and would definitely recommend staying here. The rooms are very clean and well maintained, the food in the restaurant is amazing, the rooftop pool is very clean and there is a nice area to laze around on lounge beds. On top of this the staff will go out of there way to accommodate you and are very helpful!

Tissa's inn has a very nice ambience and service level which gives the warmth of a home stay and the comforts of the hotel. The rooms were clean, toilets neat and dining place hygienic too. The owner has done tasteful decoration of the whole place with some touch to get furniture. The staff were extremely helpful in fulfilling our requests. I traveled with my family and we enjoyed the stay very much. They also make arrangements for Cochin trips, ticket bookings, car hires, etc. The food was tasty and the Chef was very accommodating to our requests. Special thanks to Arun, the Manager of the place...

Tissa's Inn is a very nice hotel, tastefully decorated.
Rooms are huge, with a pretty efficient and silent AC (important in Kochi), a large bed, nice complimentary gifts (dental kits, shaving kits and a comb) and a safe.
The swimming pool is quite convenient and nice with deck chairs and towels.
The restaurant is also quite nice even if the preparation time was a bit long.
I was travelling with friends and some of them didn't have access to the internet in their rooms which is a pity because it's the only reproach that I can make.

I booked Tissa's Inn for some holiday with friends and family a couple of weeks ago. The hotel is great, but the staff was even better!

We go welcome drinks upon our arrival - nice touch before being shown to our spacious, well arranged & clean rooms. The attached bathrooms were equally clean, and there was a glass panel to separate the shower from the rest of the bathroom - nice one in India.
The restaurant is good, but the service there is a bit flaky, and takes time. Breakfast was GREAT compared to many hotels I stayed in. Not a buffet, but they provide fresh fruits, juice, hot drinks, plenty of toasts, and nice omelettes/eggs... Basic, but efficient.
The swimming pool on the roof is on the small side but we've used it a lot - very nice, and they give you towels too.
As mentioned, the highlight of our stay was definitely the lovely staff: very helpful, eager to help & suggest things to do/see...

Big drawback though (if it's important for you): internet does NOT work in many of the rooms... so if you want to make sure you have access to it, request one of the rooms on the ground floor, or the only room on the first floor where it would work (just above the reception, on the right of the staircase) - the lack of internet is responsible for this review to be marked as "very good" instead of "excellent" We also had an issue with our A/C in our room, didn't work properly (took forever to work, and then was very "mild")... but we didn't flag it up properly enough (were supposed to call back if the issue wasn't resolved... and we didn't so our fault).

Would I go back? Definitely.

A beautiful property with a lot of history situated close to everything in Fort Cochin. A short walk and one of the regular ferries takes you to Ernakulam on the mainland. Auto rick-shaws are abundant in the area.

Great friendly team. Welcoming, kind and helpful.

My room was upgraded from the standard and was a delight to stay in, clean and very comfortable, with impressive design.

A pool was available but I didn't use it.

For me breakfast was great. I heard others comment that the western choice of food was limited but I'm certain that had this been fed back then the hotel would have offered whatever was missing.

Would I return? Can't wait to!

We chose this hotel as we wanted somewhere quiet and comfortable and we were not disappointed. The rooms were immaculate and spotlessly clean.
The staff were fantastic and could not do enough for us. In particular the staff in the restaurant. Chef went out of his way to provide local cuisine for us on the evenings we dined at the hotel always freshly prepared to our individual tastes.
We particularly enjoyed being able to use the rooftop pool in the afternoons when it became extremely hot. Clean towels were always available.
Once we got our bearings everything we needed was a short walk away (bars, tourist attractions, chinese fishing nets) and we felt very safe walking around town.
We stayed 11 nights in total and had a thoroughly enjoyable and restful stay.
Thank you all for a great holiday.

Room Tip: Rooms on the higher floors are quieter but are unable to access the wifi signal. Very happy in room...
