We booked this for our arrival in Kerala after long flight from London, for the start of a few month trip in Asia.

When we arrived we were exhausted and were relieved the room was ready and the check in short (by Indian standards at least). The room was a little shabby, but large and airy. Bed was solid as a rock, but I'd been to India before so this was not a big surprise!

There were many power problems in Kerala due to light monsoon rains and reliance on hydra electric, and unfortunately the generator in the hotel was quite near our room (or perhaps it was from a nearby hotel) and the noise was annoying.

The bathroom lights kept failing and not coming back on (seemed like a fuse) this happened several times, and was frustrating at night; we took to leaving the torch by the bed.

The hotel staff are all very good and friendly, they will stand up to greet you as you walk by, which is nice.

Location is pretty much smack bang in the middle of town, but down a quiet enough side street that is was pretty peaceful.

All in all we had a good stay, but I would say there are probably better for the price range.

Remember, this is India, it can not compare with the standard of hotels in Europe. The hotel is very good situated, close to the Chinese fishing nets and the "centre" in Fort Kochin. The hotel had good and working wifi which is appreciated when you tramp around in India. Hotel manager was very helpful and got a 4 day trip to Munnar, backwaters and Varkala to us. Fixed even better price on hotels in Varkala than we could book ourselves. Unfortunately, it was a power cut every morning between 0700 and 0730 when the hotel's generator goes in and wakes everyone.

Room Tip: Try to get a room far from the neighboring property which also has a generator that starts at 07:00...

Stayed here for 2 nights along with friends...Hotel is good distance from Cochin railway station. It is walk able distance from the Chinese fishing nets and the ferry. Rooms are clean and well maintained. The buffet breakfast is a joke and hardly anything available. Room is prompt and the staff are very helpful though the hotel has no professional room service system. Food at the restaurant is very average and we gave up after the first night. There are better hotels and restaurants around Fort Cochin unless you are getting a very good price on a B&B basis.

This is a very nicely-located hotel within walking distance of the sea. We were father, mother, and adult son in one large, nicely decorated, sunny room, with a small, windowless, curtained-off seating area attached. (Our son, of course, was stuck with the extra 'bed,' which is really just a vinyl-covered hard cushion on wheels - very small and uncomfortable with a sheet that couldn't possibly stay on. He put his 'bed' in the seating area, which was almost like having a 2nd room, and that was nice.) Aside from the awful 'third bed,' the room was great and we were quite comfortable, with lots of light streaming in and plenty of cool air-conditioning. Our bed was large and comfortable and there were enough chairs (including a rocking chair!) and tables to have a party if we'd wanted. The rooftop breakfast was delicious and plentiful, the coffee quite good when the pot was fresh. This is almost the only hotel we stayed in in India because we quickly discovered that Homestays are far more fun, a lot cheaper, and the owners are usually much more likely to help you with planning, etc. Still, the staff of Bright Heritage were cheerful and kind, and we would not hesitate to recommend a night here.

The hotel is just round the corner from Princess Street and Vasco da gama place so has all the convenience of being central without the noise and disturbance. The rooms are large and well equipped and there is a good shower with hot water.

There is a roof top bar with not much of a view but breakfast is served there and there is a good choice of food on the menu.

Free wi fi in the reception area only

Only criticism is that apart from the bar and reception there is no where to sit and relax

Though within the city limits area, stands out from the hectic city traffic and one will the feel the clamness as soon as you arrive into the resort.. Just sitting by the pool and having the lakeside view is an amazing and relaxing experience...Combined with some yummy food, it is definitely a worth choice for all people alike...

The Bright Heritage provided a Nice Ambience for us. The Welcome Greetings by their staff gave us Hearty Feelings.

Rooms were kept neat & clean. Room service better than similar categories.
Myself was very much impressed by the Staff Attitude towards their customers.

Overall, the stay was pleasant & worth for it's value.
