“Average hotel”
Reviewed 24 January 2012

I stayed here for a week on my first trip to Cochin on business.....it was a average hotel all in all, but definitely no for a longer stay. The location is half a KM inside the main road....lobby and exterior was very good, but the the rooms were very badly planned......all the rooms have a sitting area, but none of them have a celing fan in them......with out the centralized AC (only split AC), i think celing fan is a must.....but i think the management missed it......the food was alright........cleanliness was ok.....they have a small fitness center, which is ok.....during my stay there, the restaurant was closed for maintenance work and they used the lobby to serve food.....again...very congested......i asked for the manager to give feedback.....but no body turned up.....i guess they do not want constructive suggestions......ok for a night stay, but definitely not for a longer stay........

The hotel lacks finesse- the reception area is so dreary- get better lightning and they should try to create a welcoming ambience. Not all the staff can communicate effectively in English which is very challenging and frustrating for the guest - but they try to please the guest the best they can. The quality of the room was pathetic- the first room had linen that was stained, not ironed and obviously not cleaned as there was hair on it ,the floors had hair on it - the walls are stained, the telephone was dirty and stained- and the room had a musty smell. The elevator looks really bad inside with the scratches - a good once over will make it look better. Eventually the room was changed - still not a marked improvement but a tad bit better. The shower is not seperated from the toilet hence after a shower the floors and the toliet are all wet and slippery - dangerous if you are not extra careful. The birds's dropping are all over the balcony and obviously not cleaned in ages. The breakfast spread is good and food abundantly available but things could be a little bit more organised especially when the hotel is busy. The room service was prompt and pleasant. Overall - not a pleasant stay

Hotel is average compared to hotels within its class. Its quite common to have small LCD televisions in all hotels now..Romm service was pathetic. I did my booking thorugh Make my trip as part of 7 nights kerala package...Though the staff is polite however it does not matters if the provide pathetic sevice with politeness.. When we came from day tour we were quite hungry and preferred dinner in room... First of all there is no room serviec food menu in the room ... we requested for a copy however after half an hour I had to personally go down to restaurant to collect the same...rooms are average which you expect from such class of hotels... Breakfast was not so great as well. the restaurants ambience is so bad.. its dimly lit.. and the upholstery looks so bad and overall environment makes you feel bad...
as a suggestion it should be brightly lit and have windows etc to provide that fresh feeling when you come for the Bfast...not sure why all kerela hotels just dump the bfast at 7 am and expect the guest coming at 9 to have the same old and cold vadas and idlis.. i though we get better idli and vada's in kerala however it was big dsappointment... everywhere they serve you idlis made in the morning and cold also even though you might be ordering in afternoon..

Me n my spouse have stayed here for 1 day in our honeymoon trip at 13th february 2011. Location is very near to the main road although not at all noisy. Rooms are very big and luxury, prompt room service and food is also good. I would say for short business trips or 1/2 days staying would also be worthy considering the reasonable price and excellent room quality n service. But don't expect any sea view or any high quality nature view. It's location is within the city itself but away from the normal din and bustle. Highly recommended for Cochin.

We had great 3 days stay here. Hotel staffs were polite and allowed us to check in early and late check out. Rooms were very clean and neat. Room service was excellent , room & toilet were cleaned everyday without any request. Hotel was just 200m from main road and had excellent connectivity. We were not very happy with the food, food was costly and buffet breakfast was not so great.

Rooms are definitely large ones. Large and comfortable beds. Clean and large toilets. LCD TVs. Quick roomservice. The food is average. Location is rather convenient.
Funnily, the hotel wanted to charge us to ferry our luggage over a distance of 200 mtrs from our bus to the hotel, as the bus (24 seater) was too large to reach the hotel directly (access to this road for large vehicles is a challenge!). Best, part, we were told re this only after all of us had already checked in. Only when we raised an alarm did the desk manager relent to not charge us!
This place is good for a stopover; nothing more.
