Stayed here for 2 nights as part of a tour, beds were awful and way too hard, food in the restaurant was fantastic and staff were nice, but the location lets it down as there is nothing to do in the hotel and nothing nearby.

Stayed here for two nights as part of a holiday travelling round Kerala. The hotel is modern and clean but in the middle of nowhere. There is a fishing village nearby but, as there are no pavements and the road outside the hotel is very busy, walking into the village is a bit risky particularly at night. The staff are very courteous although prone to saying yes to a request and then nothing happening. The beds are something else. Absolutely solid and like sleeping on a wooden board. The food was OK although the breakfast was a bit sparse. As far as the location is concerned, we were lucky as we had driver who looked after our transport needs. The ferry to Old Cochin is about a 20 minute drive and then a five minute crossing. Nowhere to go in the evenings so you are sort of stuck in the hotel. All in all, reasonable hotel but bad location.

Room Tip: Chose a sea view room away from the road noise at the front of the hotel.

We stayed here in Dec' 13. It is a very nice hotel. Althouh the location is in congested area, the hotel is good. Staff is courteous and kind. Food was delicious. We had to take the dinner buffet as there was no other option. Ala-carte option would be helpful. The morning breakfast was not that good and the place where we had it was not clean. Looked like it was not cleaned after the previous night.

Room Tip: We stayed on 7th floor with the view of sea...it was beautiful!

I agree with previous posts about the location. It is not near enough to Old Cochin and you need to get an Auto (tuk-tuk) and then a ferry to sight see. Once back in the hotel there is nowhere to go in an evening. The food is very good in the restaurant but as the hotel is not licensed you cannot enjoy a cold beer with it. Sit near the back so that you are not distracted by the TV. Breakfast is Indian style or eggs cooked whichever way you want served with bread, then juice and a plate of fresh fruit. The staff are very helpful and the rooms are cleaned every day, the showers are excellent. My husband went to the small gym but the air conditioning was not on so he didn't stay long.

Room Tip: Ask for a high room not at the front as the sunsets and sunrises are amazing.

This is a very new hotel and is in good condition throughout. The staff a re very helpful and friendly and the rooms well appointed with TV, air conditioning and clean bathrooms with a good shower. The only let-down with the rooms was the firmness of the bed which was hard enough to prevent a good night's sleep. The room had good views across the island and the river.

This hotel was booked for us by an agent as part of a package and the main issue we had was the location. It is situated on Vypeen Island - a 10 minute tuc tuc and a ferry away from the tourist area of Cochin. In fact there is really nowhere that is walkable from the hotel, so it was fine for our first night when we arrived and just wanted to sleep, but not a convenient place from which to explore.

The restaurant (ground floor) served a decent buffet with a good choice. Breakfast (2nd floor) was basic but adequate Indian fare. The restaurant (in common with many in Kerala) was not licenced so no opportunity to buy a beer, and the nearest bottle shop at least a tuc tuc ride away.

An OK hotel for a one-night stop over but not the "resort" our agent described, and if I suggested the Seaport for my honeymoon (ref earlier 'reviews' on Trip Advisor) I think I'd be divorced pretty quickly!

The hotel has a health club that I didn't visit so could not comment on.

Room Tip: Rooms on the west side will be facing the road so likely to be more noisy and will not have the view...

Unless you are a business person with meetings in the immediate area, I don't know why you would chose this hotel. We were placed here as part of a package and to be honest felt like virtual prisoners. There is nothing of tourist interest nearby, Old Cochin is a 2 hour car or 40 min cat plus ferry ride away (more if only one of the two ferries is running, as was the case when we were there). No bars, restaurants, nice areas for a stroll... Opposite a fairly busy timber yard and on a loud-ish main road. Incredibly noisy mosque nearby.

Rooms are generally fine, clean, well equipped. Beware beds are not just firm but strangely rock hard and after the second night we felt like we had been lightly beaten up.

The food is adequate, service is oddly slow considering a) dinner is a buffet and b) there seems to be an abundance of staff, all watching the loud TV in the dining room rather than paying attention to the guests. Breakfast is on a separate floor and is OK if you are fine with Indian style breakfast, as we were.

If you're checking out Tripadvisor as a tourist thinking about this hotel as part of a package, please ask your company for a change to something nearer the sights. If you are a business man/woman, or have a particular need to be in this area for another purpose then you will be fine.

Room Tip: 7th floor has an OK view (not wildly amazing) and less noise - apart from that mosque...
