The hotel is small compared to many other I have been to, barely 3 acres. But plenty of sweet spots aka sit outs. the weather was perfect when I visited, end of Jan. The view from the the hotel is beautiful. I was lodged in the Heritage room, which was pretty comfortable and very clean. The view was missing but the Taj service more than made up for it. Housekeeping tidied the room twice a day and surprisingly left chocolates in cute little white boxes every evening.
The food spread is wide but the taste surprisingly decent at best. I found the preparations, the Indian dishes, a trifle oily for comfort. But the variety compensated this aspect.
The Pool is one of the best feature and looks over the backwater and sea. Fantastic. The Dubai Port Authority is visible clearly from the hotel, more so from one end of the pool. One can view the loading/unloading activity distinctly.
From the Dolphin point one can actually see a few dolphins swimming. A rare sight in Indian waters,
All in all, the Taj service is what stands out resoundingly. According to me the best property in Kochi.More
