On the opposite of Ernakulam, we found the city relaxing due mainly to the seaside, around the chinese fishnets, food stalls and very friendly people.

Although Fort Kochi is very popular amongst the tourists for the colonial and Dutch architecture by the waterside, we found the place to be astonishingly dirty and mismanaged. There were rubbish all over and we thought that the local municipality never comes to clean the place. The street lighting was very poor. Parking and traffic management was messy. All in all, it was a depressing experience to witness such a sad state to a beautiful and historic spot in Kochi.

This place does have museums and it gives a beautiful insight to our 'mixed' culture. What you will love about this place is that it has a peaceful beauty attached to it. People are friendly, there are places to go and have a little fun and you might will meet up some really nice people out there (mostly foreigners but they just generally behave nice to others ! :P)
