The ambience of the property is special and is immaculately maintained. The best thing about it is the staff though, their attention to detail and charming service is outstanding, and we'd like to say a special thanks to Febina, Rajeev and Vishnu. You will feel very well looked-after.
We loved the compimentary activities, like the boat cruise and the cooking demo.
I would recommend requesting a sea view room though, as we didn't know it's not guaranteed.
Also, The History Restaurant is amazing! The menu is wonderfully varied and each dish was delicious. Live music was the perfect touch, and again impeccable service.
If you want a glimpse of Kochi's colonial past then it's a great location, with beautiful grounds.
We found the best Masala chai served here at Brunton Boatyard too.

Room Tip: Request a sea-facing room to avoid disappointment

My family and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. We derived immense pleasure every minute of our stay. This beautiful property is one in a million- not only in location, in its grandeur but also as we observed, in its meticulous maintenance. The starkness of the decorations are refreshing, different and so in keeping with the heritage of Kerala.

Here, the hospitality extended to all guests is so perfect that one leaves with the desire to definitively return again. All in service at the hotel, make it their first priority to provide relaxation and utmost comfort to the guests. This rare graciousness made our stay all the more pleasant and memorable. The staff in the restaurants, in housekeeping, at the front desk, maintaining the interiors and grounds are the best I have seen. The gentlemen and ladies dressed so elegantly, made us feel welcome with their ever ready smiles and willingness to assist . Nothing was impossible for them- one just had to ask.

The eye for detail at Brunton never failed to amaze us. This huge property is immaculately clean, which I can imagine is one great challenge. The pool and jacuzzi felt blissful after a morning of sightseeing in the warm weather.

The arrangement in the rooms were excellent. The cooling system was perfect. We loved the hot beverage options offered in a quaint wooden box along with a full tea service. The four poster bed was impressive, the linen crisp, an elegant bathroom to be enjoyed and a splendid view from the verandah to see ships glide by. The activity on the waterfront possibly disturbs a handful of guests but to us it was an exciting part of the stay.

All amenities available here are listed on the website. So no need to repeat. I just wish to highlight the unique experience that is offered in Brunton. For a short while one feels like royalty. Thank you Team Brunton- you are the very best.

This is the place to be in Fort Kochi. The ambience, the cleanliness, the food and the service is by far the best of any hotel we have stayed at in Kerala. We were afraid of mosquitoes while sitting in our balcony enjoying a view of the lake, but thankfully were not really bothered by them. You are transported into a much quieter peaceful world once you step inside the hotel grounds. Would love to stay here again for a longer period and explore more of Fort Kochi and Mattanchery.

Visited for a two day break. Hotel was virtually empty so had the whole place almost to ourselves. Courteous service, easy check in. Got the waterfront room which was excellent. The sound of the jhankar (ferry) is a bit irritating but the hotel has provided ear buds to alleviate this! Only the armoury restaurant was open the other two were undergoing renovations. Breakfast is alacarte but they will serve most continental and indian dishes. Eggs Benedict was good, but for hollendaise sauce. Dinner was cozy and the Barman made some good cocktails. The pool was well maintained. Hotel is situated at the heart of the Fort Kochi town area so moving around is easy. Enjoyed the short break thoroughly.
