I stayed here for just 1 night (2 days) & was very impressed. It is a fairly new hotel & the standards were excellent. The decor was contemporary & all of the fittings & furniture etc were first class.
The room was fairly small but had everything that I needed.
The bed was very comfortable & had good quality & spotlessly clean bedding. I slept very well.
The bathroom was modern & well equipped & clean. I didn't quite manage to get any hot water for my morning shower (I didn't have the time or the energy to 'go & find someone' so I just 'made do with a cold shower').
Location was excellent. It was just a few minutes' easy walk to the waterfront area & the Chinese fishing nets etc.
I was very lucky to get one of the 2 ground floor rooms which are next to the breakfast area. This is because you can pick up the free wifi in these rooms (I had read someone's review about this tip & e mailed the hotel before I arrived to request one of these rooms).
Breakfast was very pleasant but pretty basic & the breakfast area was very clean & welcoming.
Even though I was only there for 1 night, my flight out was very late the following evening. I was able to store my luggage & relax & use my laptop in the restaurant area for several hours before I set off for my flight which was very helpful.
I would be very happy to stay here again & would definitely recommend it to other travellers.

Room Tip: There are 2 ground floor rooms (next to the breakfast area) where you can pick up the free wifi.

We didn't expect such a good guesthouse for the price! It's clean, rooms are modern with flatscreen t.v, great shower room and very good bed! Breakfast was very good and the service was excellent.
Location is also good, it's close to restaurants and shops and tourist attractions. It's also quiet because of it's location in a side street off the main road.
Next time we visit this is where we will stay.

The location is near the sea and a historical area very nice buildings lots of tourists around.
My room was a nice tidy clean room
And small breakfast area.A quit place, you can have a pleasant sleep. The laundry service is cheap and fast.
The location is a walking distance to grand residence where I had my Ayurvedic treatment, many shops around mainly they have items from Kashmir ,pashmina shawls , embroidery bed covers, jewelry with silver and precious stones and semi precious but you need to bargain lowering prices to half.

I travelled with a friend in December 2012, and was actually made to select this place as the next available alternative over their sister hotel right in the middle of the city. We were sent their as our main request was for a quiet place where we can relax, with easy access to all the heritage sites in and around Fort Cochin. And Abad Pepper Route was just what we wanted!
Located in a quiet corner this new property offers a very comfortable abode manned by very friendly staff. Ideal for serious explorers who want to just come back to your room, shut out the rest of the world and relax. Given it’s a new property the rooms were very clean with all modern comforts. However, the breakfast menu offers very little options if you intend to stay over more than 2- 3 days. But that too is easily solved as the hotel is just a few meters away from the street shops offering all types of authentic Indian cuisine.

Room Tip: rooms on higher floors are quieter

Great value for money. Very friendly & helpful staff. Very clean & new property. Within the Kochin Fort and slightly off the main road, so very quiet place.

They only serve breakfast if i am not mistaken. which is ok considering, just bordering the Pepper route you get a 4 star large hotel with 4 good quality specialist restaurants. So one always has a good choice.

The cultural show (separate business establishment) - with Kathakali performances is not the best place for a good show.

For under $40/night the Pepper Route was a very good value. It's a new hotel, rooms are small, but clean and comfortable. The location is also perfect, short walk to all the sights of Fort Kochi. Western breakfast was also pretty good.

When I booked this hotel there were no reviews on booking.com, but decided to take a chance anyway as the rooms looked nice. And I figured that the reason for no reviews was that the hotel was new. Well, it is a new hotel. And as someone wrote before it is a bit tricky to find, but it is very central.
The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff absolutely excellent. The breakfast consists of toast, butter, jam, fresh fruit and eggs. Tea and coffee are also offered. But I wanted something Indian and the staff brought me something Indian every morning that we were there.

The only down-side was that wi-fi is really only available in the breakfast area. Perhaps also in the two ground-floor rooms off the breakfast area, too.

A very nice personal hotel with a an excellent, hard-working staff. Thank you all.

Room Tip: Avoid the two rooms on the ground floor. They lead out to the breakfast area. But as noted above, pe...
