It is a beautiful and old place, but due to fund crunch not really maintained The place should be revamped and made into a place where people realise the importance of the place.
Old ceramic tiles, old chandeliers

The oldest synagogue in the British Commonwealth does not allow photography. But I am so glad I visited it nevertheless, it was beautiful, elegant and peaceful all at INR 5 (less than 10 cents). The clock tower is currently in the process of being restored and the place is closed for lunch between 1 and 3. But if you do manage to land up during that time, feel free to stroll into the Police museum less than 100 meters away!

Don't need much time much time here. Have small static display that helps understand some of the history. Otherwise not much to see and not much information if you do not have your own well informed guide, which we did so made visit worthwhile.

The staff running this are extremely rude. You get shouted at to leave your bags at the baggage counter and shouted at again if you don't have the correct change to pay the entry fee.

We were hugely disappointed after visiting this place. It looked very ordinary(except for the paintings in the first room, even they look very old and not maintained well).

It remains a mystery to me what attracts the huge crowd to this place(except for the historic importance)!
