Wonderful location rooms and pool. Superb ambience driven by some of the most professional hotel management I have come across. The risotto and the dal were utterly delicious. Would rank with the best European small boutique hotels.

Having spent a week working non-stop in Bangalore, I was exhausted when I arrived at the Old Harbour. By the time I got there, it was 10pm-ish, Sukansh (spelling) was wonderful, made sure that I could still order food since I wouldn't be able to get anything to eat if I had waited. It was too short of a trip and I'd definitely return. I appreciate the way they treated their clients so well that I just signed up an account on this website in order to thank them, 6 months later. It was my first time visiting India and I was traveling solo, they made me feel so welcome, so at ease, I wish there are more of this hotel around the world. Thanks Bala.
p.s., i love the lemon grass water that they use to wash the floor.

My girlfriend and I had booked two nights at this wonderful hotel from home, and eventhough our flight was delayed and our cap driver was unable to locate the hotel, which meant we arrived just before midnight, the staff was thrilled to see us. The cook had left so the remaining staff did their best to fix us up with some food. This describes the service level very well, as the staff seemed extremely happy and service minded all the time.

We had booked a superior room, but since they were under renovation we were upgraded to a suite - very nice!

After our two nights here we booked a houseboat in Appelley and had afterwards planned to go to Cherai Beach Resort for the remaining four days of our vacation, but ended up going back to Old Harbour again after a single night in Cherai.

PS. While at Old Harbour, don't miss out on their Moelleux au chocolat! It's a treat! And make sure to visit Dal Roti while in town.

Perfect location, very nice staff though somewhat difficult to find at times, beautifully-restored rooms, lovely garden pool area, the whole hotel smelled delightful. The food at the restaurant was always tasty including delicious free breakfast each morning. On the downside, there were a lot of mosquitoes in the garden pool area. We upgraded to a gorgeous suite with a beautiful balcony and a very cool bathroom area; that room had so much character. It was truly a treat to spend time in that suite. It was not cheap at all though; we didn't stay in any of the regular rooms, but I would imagine they are very nice as well and not nearly as expensive.

The only real complaint is that we booked a houseboat through their staff, and they assured us it would be a very nice houseboat, but in actuality it was one of the lousiest houseboats we saw on the river. We trusted them because the Old Harbour Hotel itself was so lovely, but we shouldn't have done so.

We had two rooms at this historic hotel, and experienced facilities of a high standard, all services were both responsive to our needs and professional in their execution. The management ensured every detail was attended to and went way beyond their obligations in making sure that we were cared for. The rooms, outdoor facilities and restaurant were clean, comfortable and a true respite from the busy Indian streets. The restaurant food and service were particularly impressive.
This is definetly a place high on our recommendation list. We will return.

Room Tip: We had nothing to warn about...everything was good.

We stayed at Old Harbour Hotel at the end of a trip to Kerala for 2 nights in June . We have stayed in many hotels over the years and this would have to be one of the best experiences from start to finish. We booked the Princess Suite and if its within your budget can hightly recommend. A beautiful, stylish and massive room. The staff everywhere were so helpful and very professional. The prawns at lunch were memorable . The pool fantastic. Location was superb. i only wish we had of stayed longer here than gone to Mumbai! Totally recommend a stay at this beautiful hotel.

We stayed here two nights (one at the end of June and one at the beginning of July) during the Monsoon season in Kerala and had a wonderful experience. The hotel staff was warm, experienced/professional, and generally a delight. The room was perfectly clean, aesthetically an excellent blend of upscale, modern elegance and historic charm. The food in the restaurant is phenomenal and there is no need to eat anywhere else.

At the heart of ancient Fort Cochin, Kerala, a place that exudes history and culture, is the 'Old Harbour Hotel.' A 300 year-old building that has for long been a heritage monument of this town, now reopened as a boutique hotel.
