“The best home experience in God's Own country .”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 July 2014

Let me take some time here to describe an absolute wonderful and pleasant experience during my stay @ the beautiful and luxurious Bungalow Heritage Homestay @ Cochin . I have been to Cochin few times earlier but never experienced this type of homely and loving environment . First of all I would really wanted to thank our hostess "Neema" who was very friendly and caring during our home stay. To be frank I really enjoyed her food . One of the best in class sea food I have had . Really thank you Neema for all that wonderful sea foods and I will be back with more hunger .
The Home stay was really nice , hygienic , eco friendly and well maintained . Our room was in traditional style large and comfortable. I would really extend my appreciation to Prasad "Chetta " and all in house members including Dad n Mom of Prasad and Neema , And our Olivia Baby .
I was on a business trip but staying at this homestay made this our leisure trip.
Prasad Really amazed us with his amazing antique collections which he collected over his journey in India and abroad . And also would like to appreciate him for his historical knowledge of everything and anything in and around this place . I never knew that this place was so rich in culture and historically important .

Not to say more , I would really recommend everyone to spend some days here , and I guarantee that you wont regret it , infact you will cherish these moments .

Regards
Sam Jose
Hyderabad.

What can I say that hasn't already been said before? Neema and her family made us so welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The room we had was perfect and so comfortable a d clean. The Keralan breakfasts were so tasty and set us up for the day. The advice Neema gave us regarding local transport and things to do was so helpful. We would not hesitate to stay here again. We actually need to come back to sample Neema's dinners as we never had time on this trip.

Was booked in here by Escape to India as part of a tour of Kerala, on their recommendation. Arriving late at night after the flight from Delhi we had a lovely warm welcome from Neema and family.
A lovely house with much history.
Nicely situated on Vypeen Island, quiet, and only minutes from the ferry to Fort Kochi.
Sadly only stayed 2 nights so didn't have time to try my hand cooking under guidance from Neema in her kitchen; I'll have to come again!
Thoroughly recommended :)

We have just had 3 great nights at this ideal Homestay. Neema the wonderful host could not do more to make our stay comfortable and interesting, she is a font of knowledge of everything local. Our room was in traditional style large and comfortable and the breakfasts Indian style and very tasty. It is ideally placed very close to the ferry so very easy access to Fort Kochi (3 minutes) I strongly recommend it.

After a busy dusty time in North India The Bungalow in Kerala was heaven. Spotlessly clean, beautiful food and our family host Neema, who knew exactly our wishes before we asked. Neema was like a protective mother to us. Ron and Gay from Melbourne, Australia.

I only had two nights (one shared with a friend) at The Bungalow. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience - complete with a cooking lesson from Neema. The food was delicious, rooms very comfortable and location a short ferry ride from Fort Cochin. The ferry literally takes 5 minutes and runs frequently - gives a nice quick view of the harbour. A great home away from home - thanks to Neema and family! Would recommend this location without hesitation.

This was our first experience of a homestay and we were very happy! We arrived early in the morning and we were made very welcome. After a rest Neema gave us some suggestions of where to go and what to see. Our breakfast was a traditional Keralan one which was also very good. The room we had was also very comfortable, complete with an ensuite bathroom. We also enjoyed catching the "unique" ferry to Cochin. The added bonus was the Tourist Information given to us by Neema and we enjoyed an excellent day using the river boats . We also went on the ferry to Ernakulam, it only cost 4 rupees each way, once we arrived there we walked along a nice promenade. I would thoroughly recommend staying at this lovely property with Neema and her very welcoming family.

Room Tip: Visit Neema's website for pre holiday information.
