I loved that place. It is very special, mind you, and does not fit all kinds of expectation : you have to be after silence and not to care for much comfort. But if you are that type, it is sheer luxury. You live in a house of a type that was common in Kerala in the 80s, kummâyam(lime)-plastered laterite and wood, cool, no fuss. You have square miles and miles of rubber-tree plantation around you, the high ranges far way in front on the skyline and that's about all (coconut-trees on the left, too). And behind, in their small house, Shashi and Thankam's family are there to take care of the trees and of your needs if any. And they are very kind.
