The hotel is easily accessible from both KSTRC and private bus stands, charted bus to Bangalore, and from the railway station. Very prominent location, familiar to auto rickshaw drivers. The shopping area starts right from the fly over. I enjoyed the 'Indian Coffee House' restaurant (apart from the coffee, the food is crap there) just right to the flyover.
I didn't feel anything friendly or unfriendly from any of the staff. I made a reservation in advance over the phone but they couldn't retrieve it during my check-in.
The building looks a bit old inside. This is not what I expected after seeing the exterior of the hotel. Stayed in an a/c room. Nothing exceptional. The floor was not carpeted. The a/c was working, there was hot water in the washroom. It was very noisy inside the room due to the traffic down the hotel. I could even hear the conversations in the corridor. I felt the absence of privacy inside the room. I felt the old and average rooms a bit over priced.
There is no wifi inside the hotel. The food is served from the Malabari restaurant attached the hotel. The food was generally OK. It was sad that they serve 'biriyani' till mid day. I would advise you to try the authentic south Indian restaurant near the Malabari restaurant.
There is nothing exceptional about this hotel. Just an average stay well suited for my transit through Kozhikode.
