“ready to splash?”
Reviewed 4 September 2013 via mobile

though calicut appears to be a tiny, nondescript town,it has lots to offer.
for example, tusharagiri falls is a perfect getaway for a day. 60 kms drove away from town, though the winding roads, asyouenjoy the lovely view of the green covered western ghats, and you reach this place.

those who enjoy a trek, there are three thickly forested trails, cutting across small streams.

for the rest, a shower under the falls, getting a natural aqua pressure massage to recharge your batteries while you let your stress flow away with the water. enjoy swimming against the flow. relax, it is shallow. you won't drown. andthe rocks guarding the downstream Sony let you flow away. enjoy the splash.drink from these pure sweet waters. rediscover the taste of pure sweet untouched water,as against the bitterness of bottled water that we are now used to. go with family. go with friends. enjoy God's owncountry. FeelHis proximity. enjoy.

“Get wet and be cool”
Reviewed 23 August 2013

No words can explain the exhilarating experience of seeing the milky water falls. The presence of strobilanthes kubthiana ( neela kurinji) make the place unique and I loved the muthassi maram ( Grand old tree ). The climb up is somewhat part of trekking and one should be prepared to avoid the leech attack which are abundant ( I visited immediately after the monsoon ). I recommend everyone to take their children to visit places like this where nature is unspoilt and they can really enjoy the nature and teach the young ones to be part of it as the world is running short of unspoilt natural spots like this.
Though you can sight guards here and there the place lacks proper protective gears to prevent accidents and the adventurous enthusiasts never stop trying new tricks. The rocks are slippery and the railings are insufficient as one can easily slip through the gaps to rocks down.
It goes without saying about the bath but even if you don't dare to get wet in the falls, you cann't escape getting wet through the drip drops from the trees along the climb up.

“It's an average waterfalls - a nice place to picnic”
Reviewed 6 August 2013 via mobile

Thusharagiri is an average waterfalls with a cool climate. It's a nice place to picnic if you carry some food. There are couple of small outlets were you get some local food stuffs. Rabbit meat and country chicken are available with Puttu and Poratta.
The place is green and no much tourist except during some holidays.
You should be careful of LEACHES.
If you wish to stay, there is a government rest house - but do not expect any facility.
