Mayapott is a beautiful place in the heart of the cardamom plantations of Kerala. The Bungalow is constructed such that it blends with the natural surroundings. The bridge connecting the rooms to the dining place is an architectural marvel.
The sound of the water flowing below the bridge and the butter fly’s flitting across the window is a sight to behold.
John not only takes care of you but also takes you on a visit to the cardamom plantation. The kitchen staffs have great culinary skills and are unhesitant in sharing their recipes with you. We planned to stay for a day but on reaching Mayapott we decided to extend the same by another day, it was worth it as John arranged a boating trip to the Periyar wild life sanctuary followed by a Kathakali performance and later a display of the martial arts.
The drive to the bungalow itself was an exhilarating experience and with the help of the directions from Mr.Johnson the return was fabulous. I strongly recommend Mayapott Bungalow to any nature loving person who would like to spend some time with nature at its un-spoilt best.
I strongly recommend Mayapott bungalow to all those who are interested in spending time with nature.
