Large, spotless rooms & bathrooms with good hot water showers - and wonderful view of the park. Centrally located in a residential building backing onto the park itself, with lovely covered balcony and comfortable chairs. The property is very close to the entry gate to the ‘Periyar Reserve Forest’ and one can actually look onto the forest from the balcony. We stayed on top floor and rooms seemed new, good wifi and ample breakfast. Not an easy place to find but we were advised by “Trip Log in”.
The property is very well maintained by Shibu and his team. The family was very helpful and even provided us with our favourite Indian breakfast. We would love to go there again!...

Room Tip: Rooms on the top floor have a better view.

We were a bit circumspect when we booked the place. But we were pleasantly surprised when we checked in. The property is very close to the entry gate to the Periyar Reserve forest and you actually look onto the forest from the balcony.
The property is very well maintained by Shibu and his team. The room was large and airy with very clean & large bathrooms. Despite it being a homestay, it was better than many hotel rooms that we have been too.
Shibu was an excellent host and guided us throughout our stay.
We also had a close up view of the Lion tailed macaque right outside our balcony.

Room Tip: Ask for the 2nd floor rooms.

Warm friendly welcome from the owner and his charming wife. Our room was clean and the showers hot.
Beautiful views for the patio and very good wi FI connections - free! We had an early start the next morning and the hits kindly prepared an early breakfast to order. He also arrange transport for us and helped to find further accommodation for our next destination.
Would thoroughly recommend staying I this home-stay.
PS Saw more wildlife here than in Peryar - wild boar black monkey deer.

Room Tip: Any corner room to give views across forest.

The rooms are very nice and big. Also the bathroom is very big and everything was clean. I had a room in the first floor with a balcony and a nice view. The family was very helpful and even provided me with my favourite indian breakfast. I would love to go there again!

Very homely environment. Neat and clean rooms, good authentic south Indian food. Appa was too delicious. Good view of the periyar National park. Is a complete value for money with a guaranteed comfortable stay and hospitality.
