“How do spell "The Only Place to Stay?"”
Reviewed 13 April 2014

Landed here after long drive from Munnar and what a blessing! Check in was a bit slow but may have been due to several guests arriving simultaneously. Rooms are bungalows, individual houses with ample room to spread out. Pool has unchlorinated water that was cool, so refreshing in the heat. Walking distance to shops. Hotel offers cooking classes, nature hikes, dance show and lovely live music at dinner with the ( don't know how to spell it ) Veena, classical Indian music.
Food was terrific with eager to serve staff.
A must stay!

Room Tip: I had 101 which was close to pool and restaurant. All are bungalows.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Loved the layout, food excellent. Really enjoyed having a pre dinner drink in the bar which has lots of old photos on the wall, interesting place! It was our silver wedding anniversary on the day we left but at breakfast that morning they presented us with a cake saying happy anniversary and jasmine wrapped in a banana leaf. Very thoughtful. Staff very friendly.

We booked this place after reading splendid reviews about them on Tripadvisor and we were right. Although it Is located very near to the market area, still as soon as we enter the resort, there is total peace and quietness.

The Check-In was very smooth and we were offered an assortment of herbal teas. The rooms are in Thatched Bungalows and they are Eco Friendly. We couldn't see a piece of plastic or any other synthetic material in the resort during our two days stay.
Their Bar is amazing with a colonial look and you must see the vintage photo all around on the walls from the old Thekkady during the British era.
Food is very good. The Buffet spread is vast and you jut can't decide what to eat and what to leave.
Spa is also good as it is in most of the places in Kerala. The staff are very courteous and go all the way to make the guests comfortable.

We have just spent two nights here and it is a lovely resort. There doesn't seem to be many guests around here or in the area so we have had our choice of restaurants and sole use of the pool. The rooms are very comfortable and the gardens are lovely complete with resident guinea fowl and a troope of monkeys. The food is delicious and the staff very friendly. We would highly recommend for a unique experience in this part of the world.

Room Tip: It is spread out but a lovely walk in the grounds so doesn't really matter unless you are very l...

This place has amazing food, the pool area is really cool and they have incredible bathrooms (thats important) They have a really cool bar where you can spend hrs just looking at the photos on the wall. This place is very eco friendly another amazing plus. Make sure you get a tour to the garden. The internet works well and everyone is there to please you.

Loved the huge garden, the chicken walking around, the bar!!! (make sure you go there) and the tea station where you can get tea with fresh herbs. Located in a cute little town. Amazing food, one of the best meals I had in India. Thank you!
