Stayed here for a couple of nights. The place is well located with a host of eateries and other attractions nearby. There is nothing much to write about the hotel though. It leaves a lot to be desired for sure. Everything from the beds, toilets and cleanliness is below par. The only face saving is the greenery surrounding the place
The Mudra Kathakali center is close by and is a must visit .. They have evening shows which is very amazing to watch..

Location is good but that's it. You can get it cheap so it's good for young travelers but there are much nicer places nearby on the main roads. The concept of home stay varies but in this case there is a low class hotel on the back of a home. This is not a quaint B&B.

We had a variety of problems with our stay at El Paradiso. Initially, they wanted to give us a second floor room but in spite of the fact that we requested a ground floor room, they wanted to take us to a second floor room.

Also disappointing was the fact that there were no facilities for our driver and his car.

However, most unusual was the service or lack thereof for breakfast which occurred in room with 3 table, only one of which had a top surface. It was never clear how to order food and when it did appear, it was in dribs and drabs and one had to request ones wishes several times. Of the 18 hotels we stayed in, this was definitely the worst and most strange breakfast.

Babu and his daughter were very helpful to me in finding a solution to my decision to alter several upcoming reservations for the following days and in printing the email confirmations. However, when it came time to check out and pay, Babu was nowhere to be found or located by his bereft wife who did not know how to use the credit card machine. She was panicked, being left alone in that embarrassing situation and I did not want to take the time to find a place to exchange dollars and was counting on using my credit card as it was advertised to be possible. I was finally forced by the circumstances to pay in rupees but no receipt was offered until I insisted on one being drawn up. At that point I recalled that Babu had never formally registered us, nor copied our passports - legal steps all of the other 17 hotels we stayed in had done. We found these actions or lack thereof very suspicious???

A great reasonably priced guesthouse. The owners were most helpful and provided us with information on how to walk to places we were interested in. If you don't like sweet food just remember to say "no sugar" as fruit salad was a tad too sweet.

Good stay in Thekkady. Large clean rooms, with balconies to sit and read. Bathrooms had hot water and nice home-cooked breakfast available in communal downstairs area. Family are friendly with good information on tours. Thank you for our stay.

This is a very nice and clean homestay where you feel right away 'at home'. The family is very friendly and they serve you very good breakfast in the morning (and let you try the local food if you like). Perfect time here!
