“Best place to eat in Trivandrum”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 May 2014

One of the side effects of being Mumbaikars is that we feel that we can get lunch at any time of the day. But a day spent in Kerela taught us that this does not hold true here. All the restaurants stop serving food after 3, so as usual we reach Villa Maya at 3 and they tell us that nothing is available except continental food. Any ways we didn't give up (another side effect if being Mumbaikars) and requested them to serve us basic Kerela food. To our surprise they served us rice and a local fish. That was the best meal we had in the entire trip. If you ever find yourself in Trivandrum then Villa Maya is one you don't want to miss.

“An excellent way to splurge”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 May 2014

Undoubtedly the finest class restaurant in Trivandrum. I have been to Villa Maya on multiple occasions, the ambiance was unparalleled and the service very pleasant. The menu has ranges from the local cuisine to the middle east delicacies to European delights and American favorites. Expensive by Trivandrum standards but for those who hate to put a price tag on the priceless, this is the best dine out option in the city.

“Excellent Ambience and a cool restaurant in trivandrum”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 May 2014

Villa Maya is located in the heart of the trivandrum city. Only dining is available here and no stay. I celebrated my first wedding anniversary here. We went as a couple. Booked a hut in the outdoor for table booking. The ambience in the night was excellent with minute attention is given to pointed and spotted lighting under the tree etc. The interior decorator has done an excellent job. And the quality of the food is excellent. Though vegetarian option is less. They dont have buffet, but only an ala-carte from the Menu. They will arrange for a buffet if there is any function that attends above 20 members. They have three floors for in house dining also. Even the rest room is desgined with amazing aesthetic sense. Overall the ambience is the key differentiator of this restaurant because with small water bodies with Lotus and Lily plants in it, near by the hut, where we can eat by hearing the sound of the water!.Try it alteast once and then decide :)

“Exquisite Dining”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 May 2014 via mobile

Villa Maya is one place that meets all requirements of variety cuisines, ambience, quality & service. The cuisines are rich with well balanced traditional and other choices. Service was impeccable. The ambience is royal, especially the gazebo. Being moderately priced, this place offers a never miss rare experience of palatial & stately excellence in dining.

“A must visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 May 2014

Villa Maya, first and foremost relies on the architecture, art and atmosphere to capture attention, and it does so beautifully. I have rated it a full 5 stars on just that. and on service too, where i would especially like to mention Kartik, who served us. He was attentive, around when we needed him, but not intrusive.

Food then comes later. And food is great too, but since its been 3 days when i visited Villa Maya, what i remember is not much of the food, or the menu, though it was tasty, it definitely wasn't the best meal i ever had or anything like that. I would simply say, it was good, four stars worth.

Over all, if i was to visit the place again, it would be to enjoy the place more than the food itself.
