Some festival is celebrated between the period 1st Nov to 10th Nov each year. As a result of which darshans are strictly restricted. Poojas and festivities make the darshan timings unpredicatable. Pls avoid visiting the temple in the above mentioned period to avoid disappointment.

Sree Padmanabha Swamy temple stands out in my cherished memory whenever i remember of any temple. The place demands respect not only because it is a temple which belongs to Lord Vishnu but also because of the fact that equality of all mankind is experienced as soon as you land at the door with bare chest (if you are male) and white Lungi (sorry forgot the exact sanskrit/malyali name for it).

It would be good to have the path the painted so that the devotees can walk with barefoot easily even if the sun is high enough to make it hot.

The ambience inside the pooja hall is magnanimous and cannot be described in words. It is an experience of the life time.

Special darshan tickets are available for Rs.150 in case you are in a hurry and can afford it as well but then also there is a long queue for it and it is worthwhile.

The Gods idol is very good. The Biggest point is that in this temple we cannot carry money with us as we have to wear Traditional Lungi and Remove all our clothes, so how can we take money with us to keep inside the temple, ha haha

At Padmanabhaswamy Temple, i felt really good...a good practice is being followed for all to enter the premises in traditional dress only - and for the convenience of the tourist, arrangement is also made for the neat and clean dress.

We had to wait for along time in que as there sre specific darshan timings. Gents have to be only in lungis. Women in Saree.or Ghagra. Also we cannot get full view of the Swamy..

Plz check the timings before going for darshan, specially during utsav.
