“God proposes man disposes”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 May 2014

Loved the sheer beauty and intense calm of this temple.Disheartened by the man made rules and regulations to enter this holy abode.Sad that people have to display their faith and unconditional love for this deity at the expense of their dignity and patience just for a glimpse of him

“Non Hindus not allowed in”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 May 2014

If you are not a hindu, aka not Indian, you are not allowed in. So it really is a waste of time. You can stand out front, nothing to see..

“Divine Architecture”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 April 2014

Absolutely divine architecture with shades of Hampi, Pattadakkal and Madurai Meenakshi art forms. There are different timings for each day, for e.g. the day I went, the darshan timings were 3.30 AM - 4.45, 6.30 - 7.00 and 8.30 - 10.00 AM. There is a long queue and the sooner you go to the temple, you stand ahead in the system. A nice silent getaway from the maddening crowds and lucky if all 3 doors of the sanctum sanatorium are thrown open. You need to view the diety in 3 portions, so do be alert else you miss the bus. The smaller temples inside too are not to be missed. There are definite timings for the Royal family's visits so do be sure not to be there at that time else you will be stuck in the queue till they finish.

4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 April 2014

Temple is beautiful....dhoti is mandatory for temple visit hence carry a cotton dhoti with you otherwise it will cost you 150 to 200 buks at temple door, and there is timing for darshan hence be ready accordingly...prasadi prepared by trust is tasty and one should not miss it. specially sweet.
