Stayed for 2 nights and wished it could have been longer. Staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Very nice vibe to this place. You feel completely relaxed. Stayed in one of the front upstairs rooms which had lovely views of Arabian Sea. Large clean and comfortable and very tastefully furnished. Bed very comfortable and nice balcony to sit on. Moved to standard room the next night . There is a price difference so the 1st night was a nice luxury. Standard room smaller and differently furnished but still very happy with it. Front verandah has swinging chairs and hammocks to relax on. Resident new kitten at resort will be a much loved addition to the resort. Breakfast upstairs with views out across the front of the resort and sea. Very good. Visited a new Ayurveda Spa , walking distance around the corner from resort. Best oil massage l have had. Staff happy to ring taxi service for you. Free internet use at reception. Was end of our journey in India and could not have picked a better place to stay.

We stayed at the SeaShore Beach Resort for 5 nights. It is located at the south cliff of Varcala (which is in our opinion much nicer, less touristic and less crowed than the north cliff), a 5 minutes walk away from the temple and the main beach area. The ressort's garden is on the top of the cliff and stairs go directly to a lovely beach (not the main beach, so not crowed and really relaxing) .
The ressorts has only a view rooms, which are all new and really nice. Everything was clean and the staff was helpful and nice. We enjoyed our stay and had a great time!
We highly recommend the SeaShore Beach Resort.

We stayed six nights at SeaShore after traveling for two weeks in South India and we loved it!
Most memorable is the location: a tropical garden with chairs and hammocks that ends dramatically with a red sandstone cliff. From the garden there's a beautiful sea view.
Every day we had breakfast with fresh pineapple juice, and after that we were off relaxing/reading in the garden, going for a plunge in the sea in the afternoon - meaning a five minute walk down the stairs that wind down the cliff through beautiful rough nature. The hotel can provide beach towels and fortunately there's a good shower in the garden to wash off the salty water afterwards.
The hotel does not have a restaurant, but every evening we walked to North Cliff (healthy fifteen minute walk), where there's an endless range of restaurants with nice atmosphere and lot of good food. Main attraction was the fresh fish that was exposed to chose from and that we had baked in the tandoor oven (red snapper was our favourite!).
In between the resort and North Cliff is Varkala beach, a nice place to drink a beer and watch the locals. On the beach religious Indians perform all kinds of rituals.
The rooms in the hotel were kept spotlessly clean on a daily basis, and the service is excellent, the staff really care about the guests. When on arrival in the evening one of us got ill and couldn't go out they arranged that a restaurant brought dinner and they served the meal on our veranda. They were also very helpful when one night there was a problem with our airplane tickets back home.
Six nights at SeaShore Beach Resort were extremely relaxing.

was not expecting this wonderful place, the views and service were just wonderful and friendly. we had 3 nights and days there after almost 4 weeks of travelling tho India. what a perfect end to a great trip. it felt like you had arrived home with out having to lift a finger. the staff were so helpful and friendly but you still have plenty of space to do your own thing.

We recently stayed at the Seashore Beach Resort on South Cliff Varkala as part of a two week holiday where we toured Kerala. The hotel is clean and the service is excellent with fresh flowers on your veranda every day and cold water delivered just as the sun starts to get too hot. There's a lovely garden with plenty of chairs, hammocks and loungers which has a stunning view of the South Cliff bay. There's a private set of stairs down to the beach and the bay is pretty secluded with just a few locals and a handful of tourists on it (mostly from the Seashore and the 2 neighbouring hotels). Hammocks and swing chairs on each veranda complete the laid back atmosphere! The south cliff is only a 5 minute walk from the main beach and 10-15 minute walk to the north cliff so your close enough to the hustle & bustle when you want it. A hearty breakfast is served every morning with your order being taken from the comfort of your veranda before you go to the restaurant.

Because of the quiet south cliff location there's a fair bit of wildlife around and we were lucky enough to see a mongoose which the manager told us live in the cliffs.

A lovely hotel which is obviously cared for by the owners, manager and staff. A really nice personal service and the little extras make it feel homely and special.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Staff is super friendly, flexible and always caring, rooms very clean and the whole hotel garden including the hammocks is nicely done. Good internet access at the lobby with the hotel computer. This is a place to relax. Also really enjoyed the breakfast that had several options to choose from including fresh juices or lassies. It is a short walk to the beach where a lot of nice restaurants are. We were a bit scared at first to walk back in the evenings when this path is a bit dark but it seems to be a quite safe place. We didn't have any issues.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
It's a very beautiful piece of paradise. It's a guest house (I couldn't call it something so cold as a resort) that delivers excellent service with a low key spirit of wanting to make your experience as enjoyable as possible. The rooms are clean, comfortable and the higher-end suites are exceptionally lovely and all for prices that make this the very best value I have almost ever experienced in all my travels.
