The hotel is good. Located in a great area..though the room was a bit small, but they were clean.
There are good food junctions located around it. so even it doesn't server lunch/dinner you have good options available outside. Overall a good experience.
If u want to stay at most hapenning area in Pune then this is the place. Cheap and average but definitely not the most comfortable place to stay.
They need to work on overall toilet hygiene and basic necessities like hot water, basic services like admission takes time, only one or two personal on desk who is ill equipped for any service. Like I requested for hot water in room for bath which never came.
First of all kudos for bringing this novel idea to India. Secondly, a great price worth every paisa. do not expect bellboy or plethora of soaps, fancy shampoos in the bathroom... nothing there exept towels... thts it... hot water in the morning... one room just comfy enough to sleep at night. Reaching there is a bit of a hassle if you are driving (google the location). all in all a good xp and will recommend others whot are just coming to pune for a stay... (mostly spending time out side) like self... i went out at 1800h and came bk at 0300h just to sleep and checked out next day at 1200h.
There was a tussle between the hotel and Cleartrip regarding payment by the latter to the former. As a result, the hotel refused to check me in and I was forced to spend two hours in suspense and anxiety at the reception lounge. Left a very bad taste in the mouth. I have now to decide whether I should give a miss to the Hotel or to Cleartrip, in the future.
A really nice hotel in a great location. Basic, as advertised, but clean rooms and very helpful staff. If I need a hotel in Pune again then I would definitely stay here and recommend to others. Only problem was that wifi did not work in room (on 4th floor) but worked in the lobby and so could sit a table and use it there no problem.
Smart Inn Pune is a nice little boutique hotel near the Fergusson College Road area and though it may be off the main road in a one way lane, it is well located. It is a nice little place with a simple vegetarian breakfast selection. Though the staff were pretty helpful, there were not too many around. Clean and small rooms, reasonably priced for the budget traveller.
