ISKCON temple is located on National Highway(NH) in a very busy and prominent locality of Bhubaneswar. Teeming with people and traffic, the place is congested and crowded. At the time of writing this review , some renovation work on the NH has made the road narrow . causing difficulty in even walking let alone driving. Parking is always a problem. One has to pay money for parking car in front of the temple .
The temples are good and the deities attract devotees in hordes. There are two temple structures (apart from other buildings) in the compound . One is in the shape of a white lotus in bloom. There is a large restaurant (Govinda's) and a small air conditioned community hall (Gopal's).The hall is made available for private functiones etc. on payment of some fees.
The restaurant serves excellent vegetarian food at very moderate price. Inside the temple as also surrounding the restaurant there are other stalls selling various kinds of eatables , fruit juice . lassi etc apart from religious books and memorabilia.
There is also a prayer hall for adorning the image of Swami Prabhupada Vaktivedanta. There are buildings where the priests and other staff reside. The place is not well maintained . The temples are neat inside ,but surrounded by unhygienic spots.
The overall impression is not spiritual bliss but the feeling which generally generated by an eating joint beside a temple. However if one visits only the temples and nothing more , then it is sure to give a holy feeling and satisfaction.
people who run the temple are very polite and well behaved . But the management is quite unprofessional .
the net effect of all these
