We stayed at the Trident hotel for a week after a 3 days stay in the Mayfair hotel just next door. The Mayfair is beautiful, but the service at the Trident is incomparable. The staff is super-ultra friendly and make you feel home away from home. The restaurant is wonderful and the rooms are very cozy. It is cheap than the mayfair and you will better served.

The hotel is excellent and the warmth provided by the staffs feel like coming again and again to stay there.

The break fast has variety of items to choose from. It is arranged in such a manner that we have a proper diet.

The hotel has lovely swimming pool and the big garden with different types of flower. The garden is the best place to have a fresh air morning walk.

Overall I would say this is probably one of the best star hotel in Bhubneswar I have ever stayed and would continue coming back again and again.

Was here for a business meet for a couple of days. must say was pretty impressed with the property.
I have been to many other hotels in Bhubaneswar, but this is easily the best.
Nicely done for the business traveller

Myself & my better half were on a relaxed holiday.Stayed at a Ground florr Room overlooking the lush green gardens. The buffet Meals at the Coffe Shop were a treat.Amongst the al carte selection the grilled bekti(fish)is worth going a mile to have.Equally good was the chana payas(sweet delicacy)The Houuse keeping standards true to Oberoi standards was exemplary. The Chef(a South Indian) whose name I fail to recollect treated us to some truly amazing Indian home made style recipes for Dinner. The lazy long walking sessions in the huge Graden jogging track was truly soothing to the nerves and body

Very good Hotel. Awesome ambience. Loved the lobby where i had taken some interviews. The hotel staff were too coopreative to make the lobby interview friendly. Loved the food.

They have a sign at the airport saying to call for the best rate. The first rate quoted was over Rs 10,000 – a little asking saw this halved – it shouldn't have been necessary as the hotel was almost empty and if that was its attitude to sales deservedly so.

With its huge white entrance hall and its endlessly long corridors, the low rise building has all the charm of an empty furniture showroom at the end of a sale (not the temple it claims to be). The rooms had been updated with laminate floors but the picture lights and heavy gilt frames remained to date them – the designer had even put a gilt frame on the bathroom mirror. Sadly he had forgotten to leave a space for toiletries. The bath was fitted the wrong way round and one had to clamber over the toilet to get into it.

Breakfast was poor, the pre-packaged plastic pastries should have never have been put on offer and the staff were hopeless. Only after you had poured yourself a cup of lukewarm tea would they appear and try to prise the pot off you.

But the competition is not up to much: the Swostis are crummy, the New Marrion OK but of a lower standard and the Sishmo must get its 5 stars for shabbiness.

The advantage of being so far from the town is that it is very peaceful. Bhubaneswar is also very very dusty so it is great to get to clean. The positive was that I did sleep really well, the beds are supremely comfortable and the pillows, which are vast and feather filled, are probably the best I have ever had, anywhere. It was just a shame that the hotel was so dull that all I wanted to do was sleep….

The Trident Hotel was simple and clean and the staff provided excellent service. I was there on business and had several meetings and lunches at the hotel and all of the events went very smoothly. They also arranged a car and driver who was very reliable. The room was comfortable, with a lovely view of the gardens. The only strange things was the shower door, which was only partial and as a result, water got all over the floor. It is next to the Mayfare Hotel which is much more ornate, but too loud for my taste. I preferred the simplicity of the Trident.
