Just typical small town hotel fare with a "premium" price tag. The music in the evening is a good relief though.

when u r in bhubneshwar and u read good reviews about Mirch Masala u are pleasantly surprised and so decided to check out this at hotel New Marrion. The restaurant in right in the hotel looby and quite big by bhubneshwar standards. The table itself would be about 3x3 with a neat little jar with some red chilli and dhania.
Getting on to business we ordered for the menu and selected a starter which was crispy baby corn and although we were served complimentary jal jeera the order seem to take ages to arrive. prempting this we palced our main course orders which was bhatti sabz mandi assorted mix green veg in tandoor , mirchi bharwan, rajma and phulkas. while we waited the starters arrived and the golden baby corn was delightfuly crispy with mild spice with mayonese to go with it. It hardly took anytime to finish the plate but the waiting grew longer for the main course. In between there was this live music performance on violin and tabla which was soothing. The moment we looked at bhatti sabz we knew we had a winner. All vegetables dry marinated and cooked in tandoor along with mirch bharwan which comes with white gravy. Mirch Bharwan is cousin of mirchi ka salan with white sesame, peanuts and coconut ground finely. The bharwan was a total disappointment with the flavour of sesame overpowering the rest but the phulkas were totally satisfying ,thin and bloated very efficiently.
Overall a pleasant expirience but the service needs to be speeded up and there is a good chance that one could loose his appetite waiting and imagining.
