This is a very good hotel - well located outside of the city fort (inside the fort is rather cramped and difficult to access), with a good restaurant on the roof-top with a fantastic view of the fort (non-vegetarian, though that is common in Jaisalmer). The manager is very helpful, and kindly organised a camel safari tour for me (for 2000 rupees) and the hotel had good Wi-Fi and air conditioning. The pool is a nice area, definitely a plus point and the rooms were spacious and comfortable with a wet/shower room. All in all, definitely a place I would stay again and strongly recommend

The hotel (inside) is lovely with well-appointed, large rooms and traditional decor. The bathrooms are huge. There is a pleasant pool area. The hotel is located just a short walk from the Jaisalmer Fort. Typical with India, there were several cows eating the garbage strewn around the outisde of the hotel. The hotel staff was not particularly friendly, but the rooftop restaurant (and staff) was quite nice and the food decent.

Room Tip: Try to get a room overlooking the pool area.

This hotel has the best option to enjoy Jaisalmer in April or May, its pool. Its clean and has roooftop restaurant service.
The rooms were ok, but are really different so first check. The bath wasnt so clean as I will like. Wifi wasn't working due to external reasons...
You can book desert trips which I recommend, first check tripadvisor for what resort to go.

We arrived at The Royale Jaisalmer on a recommendation from a previous hotel manager in Delhi. We had high expectations arriving, and were not disappointed - in fact, found this hotel to be even more charming than we'd hoped! The rooms were comfortable, food at the rooftop restaurant was very good, and the staff were all very courteous and helpful. The wifi was fast and reliable, even though it was only available in the common areas.

The owner and his family are truly the most hospitable people I've ever met. They made us feel so welcome that we actually changed our travel plans and returned again for another night here after our camel safari. Spending a day lounging poolside and sipping chai at the rooftop restaurant, overlooking the fort, was a perfect way to pause amidst 3 weeks of busy travelling.

I can't say enough good things about our time at this hotel. They really made us three Canadian girls feel like royalty at the Royale Jaisalmer.

Jaisalmer is one of the most magnificent towns in Rahjastan and the Royale was a wonderful place from which to see it. This hotel is only 100 metres or so from the fabulous walls of the medieval fort. The room was spotless and also cool in that very hot weather; the staff were oh so courteous and friendly. Just nearby there were so many very cheap little eating places, and it was here that I was intorduced to my first Birrie, or Indian cigarettes for only 2 cents each! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this lovely hotel to anyone. The breakfast had everything in abundance.

Room Tip: Ours was right next to the front door, but all are at ground level
