“Beautiful rooms”
Reviewed 27 April 2013

This guest house is well located inside the fort. The rooms are unique and beautifully decorated. We stayed here for two nights once pre safari and once post safari. The staff were very accommodating even though we opted to go for a cheaper camel safari than they were offering, we left our bags with them in a locked room and they didn't charge us anything. The rooftop restaurant had amazing views. The staff here were incredibly helpful, they assisted us to book our onward accommodation in Delhi, clearing up a language misunderstanding (Delhi hotel thought we wanted to book 20 rooms!) and then reconfirmed with Delhi again before we left. One tip, wear insect repellent, there are holes in the fort walls so it's easy for mosquitoes to get in.

If you are looking for a place to stay at in the fort look no further. Desert haveli is a wonderful charismatic place with some beautiful and reasonably priced rooms to choose from.
The staff are friendly and helpful and try to give the cheapest prices where possible.
The hotel has a great common area at the bottom made for relaxing
We did not get to try the restaurant(as it was closed for after season) but it has a great roof top view.

Thank you Abdul for making us feel so welcome.

We stayed in the Maharajas room and had a wonderful time, the staff were very attentive, food was great and the views from the rooftop were fantastic. The hotel is a maze of stairs, balconys and hallways and totally authentic, My Sister stayed in the Queens room and was also very good, yes, the hot water system needs some work but showers were very refreshing !!!

Beautiful old building in the old fort with loads of character. Rooms of different size and cost, but all reasonable and beautifully decorated. Great rooftop restaurant with great view over the surrounding area. Staff friendly and free wifi too.

I stayed in this cozy Hotel 4 nights, and I liked so much! Very nice and calm place with authentic Rajastan designed rooms, seems like you are in the ancient time of Rajputs! And guys who work there are very helpful and friendly also a price is very reasonable for this kind of accommodation. So my suggest it's best one in the fort! I been before in Jaisalmer but I didn't fill myself like this ti in this place, so I'm Highly recommend The Deser Haveli Guest House!
