“lovely place”
Reviewed 5 June 2014

So many good things about this guesthouse: rooms were very authentic and cosy, the rooftop terrace had a marvellous view of the castle (especially great at night), and the staff was super friendly.
The owner picked us up on our arrival AND dropped us off at the bus station (because it was very early in the morning and he wanted to see us safe to our bus).
His son is a nice guy who loves to talk to tourists and shares some great info about his town.
Nothing but warm feelings about this place.

We stayed at Residency Centre point for 4 nights. We were greeted at the railway station by the hotel owner Pramod who took us to his wonderful guest house. From the beginning we were told to view this as our second home and it truly became that. The room and bathroom were immaculately clean and the room was spacious and bright. The food was delicious and home cooked and could be eaten on the roof top restaurant which offers spectacular views of the fort. The family were very friendly especially when it came to showing us the best places to buy things from at reasonable prices and showing us local sites without being pushy and expecting money.
We took the camel trip that was offered by the hotel which again was fantastic and Mr Pramod Kumar (owner) ensured we were looked after.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone wanting a reasonably priced hotel!

We stayed at Residency for 4 nights and felt completely at home. The room was clean and spacious and kept at a great temperature because of the air conditioning.
The rooftop restaurant is very nice with great food, especially the dhal and rice dish.
The entire family were very welcoming and happily showed us the sites and the best places to buy things. They were completely hassle free and always helpful.
We took the camel trek they offered which was fantastic and having Mr Pramod Kumar with us, we felt safe and that his guest house really is a home away from home!

Room was basic, but spacious, recently renovated and clean. Hot shower was available (free) when you ask the staff and wait for 20 min. Location is close to the fort (7 min. walk) and other major attractions. The rooftop restaurant has a really nice fort view and good masala tea.

Our experience:
We arrived by night-bus from Jaipur and we're randomly picked up by a guy from another hotel. He drove us to our hotel (for Rs. 30) but offered us his hotel and camel safari of course. So you only get to this hotel (Residency) with pre-booking, as they aren't involved into "commission hassle". They also organize their own safari, which they offer to you. But if you don't take it (what we did), they accept it and aren't less friendly. Throughout our stay they were trying to make our stay as pleasant as possible and we're always really helpful giving directions and advice. You can also leave your luggage there over night for free. We booked our bus trip to Jodhpur with them and the owner even joined us to the bus stop to make sure that we took the right one and get our seats.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights. We had a great experience!
The room was beautiful, comfortable, clean and fully furnished. The food was very good and the rooftop probably has the best view of the fort in town.
The staff was very friendly and always seeking ways to help. Very honest people. They also can help you get buses, motorbikes, camel safaris... Anything!
It is located in a local residential street about 10 minutes walking to the fort entrance. Maybe no the nearest, but a great choice!
Budget prices but midrange quality!

My boyfriend and I stayed for three nights in this wonderful guesthouse. The rooms are beautiful and clean, and the staff is very helpful and kind. It has a rooftop restaurant with a great view of the fort and home cooked food. It's located 10 min walking distance from the fort in a street with local life more than tourism, which is very nice. It has free wifi and hot water. We highly recommend this guest house.

We stayed a total of four nights and all was very good. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The location is good with a nice rooftop terrace with a view of the fort. The room was clean and big with a old but working tv, fan, AC (if needed) and hot shower (when requested)- the only thing missing is maybe a mosquito net, but maybe they can provide one if you ask for it (we had our own).
The camel safari they arranged was great and we had two nice and sort of english speaking camel-drivers.
