“Lovely budget hostel in a beautiful city”
Reviewed 1 September 2014

The location of the Mystic was the first plus (it's right near Air Force Circle, a major bus stop), and it kept getting better from there. The building is charming and the staff were very helpful. One downside was that breakfast wasn't included and food was fairly pricey (as elsewhere in the city). However, there's a nice roadside dhaba just down the road where it's possible to get cheaper food.

Room Tip: The "mixed dorm" is actually composed of two rooms, one with four beds and a locking door...

Newly renovated B&B. Everything is clean, staff is really kind and helpful. Owner (Indian Mourinho!) is really a nice person.
If you travel backpacking this is your place! Young people, young ideas, music on the roof top and in the night they screen funny "Bollywood film" (with english sub)
WiFi is good, food too; they organize for you also Camel Safari in the desert with funny and great EK, Sunny and Moony! Cheap and safe, a real great experience that you have to try!

5 minutes from bazar and Fort.

Only (little) bad thing is lack of windows in our rooms. We have one, but...on the dormitory!

A peaceful and well situated hotel where I felt at home as soon as I arrived. Ashraf welcomes you with chai and interesting conversation. Special thanks to Vinod, Peeru and Kambeer for spontaneous cooking lessons and constant attentiveness, and to E.K. for a great camel safari!

The owner's brother greeted us over a cup of Chai in the hotels rooftop restaurant. He suggested a couple of things to do, without being to pushy. We ended up booking a overnight camel safari through the hotel and did not regret it (the guide EK was extremely nice). The rooftop affords nice views of the fort and the hotel is located very conveniently in a quite road. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated. Definitely a recommendation.

Lovely relaxed hotel. Beautiful new building with great facilities. 5 minute walk from everything, most helpful I've encountered so far. Great food and spectacular Bollywood flicks shown upstairs with a fort backdrop!!

Camel safari- one word-magical:)

This hotel has all needs for a relaxed stay in Jaisalmer. People have been very friendly and helpful all time. Beds and rooms were quite comfortable. Bathroom was ok.
Luckily we had AC since summer in Jaisalmer can be very hot. Laundry service was very good.
And also the camel safari with overnight stay in the desert can be mostly recommended which we enjoyed a lot for a fair price.

Definitely worth it to be recommended as the hotel to stay in Jaisalmer.

I stayed in the dormitory during august 2014 and had a great stay. Very cheap price and the service was great. I enjoyed the rooftop area for relaxing and the food was great and inexpensive. Furthermore, the camel safari booked with mystic was great: just enough camel riding to experience it but not too much that I couldn't sit the next day. Sleeping under the stars was a great experience!
