Very nice experrience to be in a desert for one night. Dunes are amazing and sunset was very nice.
Hotel is very well located and a warm welcome was made when we arrived.
The Thali was delicious and music and danse were on stage.
The must of all : this morning, when I woke up, the owner was waiting for me with a very nice and tasty birthday cake........ this was a really good surprise and a very thoughfull gesture.

We really enjoyed this time in desert and we will continue our journey with very good memories of Royal camps staff and hotel!!

Enjoyed this camp!

Room Tip: pool side is quiet.

Amazing experience to live in a tent, with nothing but silence around you, no pollution anywhere and lots and lots of stars to gaze at.... All of this with a glass of scotch!

Food, tea, pakode were excellent. Service and staff was very friendly... on request they even served us food before their time for our kids. Drinks and water are too costly - any and every drink was double the retail price but that's most probably the transport and electricity cost in desert added up.

Folk dance was excellent!!!!

Camel ride was good too. I'd recommend to choose the morning ride to avoid the rush.

This was the part of the Rajasthan trip that we were most looking forward to.

And while it wasn't bad, the entire tent stay experience could have been much better:
For 1): There was hardly any staff around and at times we saw the same guy(almost like a mirage:) at the reception, manning the bar , at the breakfast counter, folding linen....

2) The music at the night entertainment was very loud and later went from traditional rajasthani folk to loud gyrating bollywood music which wasn't very pleasant..

3) The lighting ambience around the camp site in the night too could have been more charming if they had used nice traditional lamps rather than strings of blue Christmas lights..

4) The camp boasts os a swimming pool.. but believe you me if you were every concious about hygiene you would never step foot in it..

5) The camel ride to Sam Dunes comes with the tent package, but is strictly okay as the camel takes you only upto a very crowded point and then they try and get to pay extra for a ride further into the sunset.

Don't think one would want to stay more than a night here...Quiter desert camps in Osian, Pushkar may be netter options for those looking for an authentic, quite, desert get away...

Room Tip: Aything below the Super Deluxe tents may not be live able
