“Peaceful”
Reviewed 13 November 2013

Went early in the morning before heading to Bikaner. It's worth a 15 minute visit but it's not well maintained.

“its a crematorium!!!”
Reviewed 30 July 2013

I went there at around 6 30 in the evening, walking from hanuman circle. It is a 15 min walk. On reaching there it was very quiet with only a few vendors at the gate. It is actually a shamshan bhoomi for the Brahman people of Jaisalmer. From the entrance about 400 mts inside you will be able to see chatris where the people in the olden times were cremated. Slightly scary place in the evening time, but it is open only in the evening as it is also viewed as a sunset point.

“ok place”
Reviewed 16 May 2013

There is nothing exciting about this place and if you go there make sure you have vehicle as in the evening your travel options back to city are limited, if you are interested in photography make sure you visit there in the evening the sunset is pretty good over here and adds to the colours of Chatri

“Beautiful!”
Reviewed 3 May 2013 via mobile

Vyas Chhatari is a beautiful place to go at sunset. Although the scenery has slightly been spoiled by wind turbines in recent years it is still very much worth a visit. Most importantly, I would recommend going in the afternoon as you will have more chance of meeting Rahul. Rahul is by far the friendliest person we met in Jaisalmer and was a great tour guide. He is very bright, completely self taught and it was a pleasure to meet him. Keep an eye out for him!
