“One time visit”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

It is one of those places you visit and then tell others not to. Nothing great about the abandoned village, apart from the story. One can skip it if the schedule is tight. A long, silent road leads to a gate where an old man will charge entry.. once you enter the gates you see broken homes, utensils, a temple and a glimpse of life that was.

We went with high expectations but it turned out to be a real bummer. Nothing but bunch of diliapidated huts and a temple.

“Haunting ! Indeed...”
Reviewed 19 April 2014

We reached there in an auto-rickshaw. The road to village itself is eerie and silent even at afternoons. Just like the place. There are numerous stories about the village how it got abandoned in a single night, that adds more fuel when you reach there. You see broken homes, with earthen pots lying there. Some, lying under dunes of sand. Some open. Some having bushes grown and some dunes, having signs of reptile creatures that just passed.

You can roam around in a few houses and a temple - all of which are equally mysterious and eerie. An experience totally worth it.
