I was a little sceptical about staying in a "tent" but it ended up being fabulous experience. the tents were nothing like I imagined they were actual nice rooms. The scenery was unbeatable with fabulous sunrises and sunsets. The staff were accommodating and friendly and provided excellent service. The stay in the dunes should be a must do for everyone as the experience in itself it amazing. The moonlight walk should not be missed!

jaisalmer, as a city, is truly divine and takes you back in time and the Desert Camp enhances that 'rugged' experience. The tents are very nice and comfortable, and have beautiful views. Waking up in the morning right next to the dunes is quite a serene experience. The service was a little slow but then again, we didn't really expect a Ritz-level service here anyway. Contact the hotel directly as we found they tend to be cheaper that way

Each of these tents is carefully placed for commanding views over the desert wilderness. They are very luxurious - more like mini-marquees with smart polished traditional camping-style teak furniture, rich jute rugs and lovely custom designed block-printed tent linings. Beds are large, can be arranged as single, double or twins, and have electric lamps on side tables that illuminate the tents effectively at night. Large windows have pull up flaps to allow light and fresh desert air through and permanent insect netting to keep out any unwelcome visitors. The attached tiled bathrooms have running hot and cold water, flush toilets and proper wash basins. Providing warmth on cold desert nights is an electric blower in each tent. ... more   less
