I recommend you absolutely stay in Hotel Temple view, because i been here again with my family . It is a simple place but for sure with everything you need for feeling in home. Just inside fort you get a really good location for a budget price. Good place to meet other travelers and spend the time in the restaurant area by the way the food is really good considering everything is made it in the moment that you order , so fresh like no usual in the local restaurant! WIFI is working good. And share time with the owner of this place for sure is gonna be part of your memories about India.

Room Tip: Room inside are quieter

The hotel offers a view of the lake, the city and the sunrise with a nice refelection on the lake. The staffs (Teju, Rajeev, Rais & Arif) are very friendly. The boss of the hotel, Teju, also took me around the city to see the hovels & the lake and to the (secret) best place to see Jaisalmer. The room is comfortable for me and the price is reasonable. The food is rich in taste and great!

I'm a muslim and I had the privilege to make Jumu'ah prayer at Jaisalmer as teju helped arrange me a transport to the mosque, eventhough he's a Hindu. I'm very grateful for that.

You can also contact Rajeev, a local and an experienced tourist guide, (+91-9414319934) for a half/full day tour around Jaisalmer.

Room Tip: Try to get the room with the balcony because it offers the view of the city from the room.

Went for an evening jeep safari with hotel temple view. Got picked up at 3pm by Nabu, our lovely driver. Drove 1 hour into the desert where we watched the sunset. It was only our group there which was really nice. After the sunset we had a fire and got taught to make chapatis by the best desert cook Leelu. Had a delicious dinner and then listened to Leelu and Nabu sing some lovely songs while we looked at the stars. The tour was very affordable compared to many others in Jaisalmer and we had such a great time:-)

We wandered around jaisalmer not sure about doing the camel/desert mission then we met the people from the hotel temple view on the street.

We didn't want a trip to the "village" of tourists at the National Park and Dejdan offered to take us off not on a tourist route
And it was really great.

Nabu drove us in his jeep put into the dunes where we were tho only people. We ran around and the had a beer and made some chapati with lelu and his two friends. It was exactly what we hoped for whilst watching the sunset.

These guys were great!!

Me and a friend stayed for two nights in desert girl, temple view's second hotel. It was very easy to arrange for them to pick us up from our sleeper bus. Room was clean and spacious with on suite. Very good value for money. There is a lovely view point with sofas for relaxing. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We ate our evening meals in the on site room top restaurant, gorgeous view and great food!
We also did the overnight camel safari through temple view. Amazing experience riding through the desert and sleeping under the stars. We didn't see any other tourists. Our guide (Laloo) was so lovely and funny! As well as a great cook. Definitely recommend staying here and doing the safari!
