“excellent camp”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 February 2014

Before going jaisalmer I have heard about these camps and all the thing.mostly persons were sad due to going any camp thinking every camp are of same type and not getting good facility. But this Capm is fabulous in all manner. starting from rooms and services the foods , folk dances every thing was just best i can say. If you are going to Jaisalmer stay here.

The camps are very clean, cozy, safe and comfortable. Bathroom is pretty big with geysers and modern bath facilities.
Dinner is delicious with a rajasthani touch.
The staff here is courteous and v v helpful. Mr. Dheeraj was very co- operative.
Would definitely recommend.

This was the priciest place among all the 'hotels' we stayed at during a recent India tour, but rest assured, the price was totally worth it. Upon arrival, you will be greeted with tea and biscuits. Your reservation gets you a free camel ride among the sand dunes of the Thar. Get there well before sunset (at least 1.5 hours before) in order to be taken to Camel Point for your ~2km camel ride. Once you return, you are treated to some snacks and excellent evening entertainment comprising of traditional dancers and singers. Though these snacks are already very sumptuous, a buffet style dinner follows. You are then free to hang around to enjoy the starry desert sky or head back to your well appointed tent. A well-rounded complimentary breakfast is served in the morning. Throughout our stay, we were well looked after with complimentary water bottles and a well-coordinated trip to the desert. This camp only contains ~25 tents (of which only 5 were occupied when we stayed), so it appears to still be a bit of a hidden gem and is far better than some of the other mega-camps that we observed closer to the dunes. All in all, an excellent choice near Jaisalmer (note that this is not within the city but ~35 km further west -- this is a good thing - you do NOT want to stay in Jaisalmer city if you want to view the desert sunset, which is by far the best thing to see in Jaisalmer.)

Value for money. Very good tents one feet above the ground and wooden flooring. Neat and clean washroom and bathroom in the tent. Camel ride was honest. They picked and droops till camel riding point. Food was very good. Cultural programs were good. Over all very good place to stay with family. Very cooperative staff.

Decent place to stay with well organized Rajasthani cultural music and dance. Isolated from other camps and located 3-4kms before the Sam. We reached sam about 5pm and called the resort. They promptly directed us to a person from the resort itself who was co-ordinating the complimentary camel rides so that we could take the ride on time for sunset. Later upon checkin we were served tea and biscuits. Then began the lively cultural evening of folk music and dance. Word of appreciation for the artists, who were performing requests from the guests too. This was accompanied by 2-3 types of snacks and drinks (they welcomed guests bringing their own drinks and did not insist on buying with them). Program went on till 9.30pm upon requests from several guests..however, they started serving dinner by 9pm. Resort owners also suggested early morning sunrise trek to a point nearby, we took the same.. a boy from resort accompanied us. Upon returning we had bed tea and breakfast before checkout.

The resort owners were hospitable and coordinated well. They walked up to each guest, spoke to them and took feed back.
We got this stay at a discounted rate, worth what we paid.

Areas of improvement - Dinner was ok, just two Rajasthani veg curries - could have been elaborate rajasthani spread with local breads, curries and sweets. There was only one non veg dish, chicken curry which was not tasty
