This small guesthouse is one of the best options to go to when you are in jaisalmer. Its directly in the fort and you can relax and meet people on the roof top cafe. Eating is also possible. The owener shiva is a very smart guy which gave us a perfect camel safari tour. We had a lot of fun.
At last come here find out and enjoy!!

Shiva cafe guest house was excellent, the staff is really nice and kind and also funny, the food is good and the rooms are great, and there's also WI-fi that works really good.
I actually stayed in the second floor room, which supposed to be for 3 people, it was huge and the room was in Indian style which was really nice to stay there.
also it's located inside the fortress and from the rooftop you can see the beautiful sunsets of Jaisalmer.
besides all and even more important was the price that was really comfortable and cheap.
there's all kind of rooms and also there are dorms.

anyway I really recommand this guest house!

One of the biggest temptations my friend and I had when were at Shiva guest house and cafe was to quit our jobs and move in. With friendly staff and comfortable rooms, this place is a budget traveler's paradise. The roof top cafe is a really nice hang out where you can meet fellow travelers. The ambiance is great, and the staff add to the experience...If you're heading to Jailsalmer, head to Shiva's, we know we will again...

Excellent choice inside the fort for budget solo travellers. Rooms are cheap, & the restaurant is a great place to hang out and meet fellow travellers. The guys who run the place are also very friendly and treat u like family.

Hi everyone,

Like I said, I was supposed to stay only 2-3days, but I felt so peaceful and relax in Shiva Guesthouse that I was feeling like home.
The owner, Siva, is really a nice person. He really care about the visitor. Like he will say to you: Everything is possible.
I have the chance to met his family in the desert, and a lot of his friend. We cook indian food all together almost every night.

About the food, even you don't stay in Shiva guesthouse, there's a small restaurant on the roof. You can eat real indian and real western food with good local product. (good one)

You're inside the forteress so you are near the temples, and all the nice shop around the hotel.

I took a 2 days trip with the shiva hotel, to go in the desert with camel. The two guides were really funny and yound, so we had a lots of fun in the middle of the desert. Im still laughing after all this time. (We will maybe have the chance to have Galou, the most funny camel in this planet)

Last thing, Be inform that Jaisailmer is an old fort so be careful with your water use : '' This water then flows into the sewage system's already-overstressed open drains. Some international heritage foundations, such as the World Monuments Fund, are urging both tourists and residents to scale back their water use—especially public taps that dispense running water—if they want the fort to survive the next 1,000 years. ''

Have a nice and safe trip in India!

:)
