We were lucky to stay in Shreenath Palace because it was if we were at home! It was so friendly, the owner even invited us for Diwali in his family to share the prayers and the good dinner. Moreover, the Haveli has a lot of charm and is very well situated, do not hesitate to come in this place, you will not regret it.

Room Tip: The rooms are big and the decoration very nice

Hotel Shreenath Palace is the you want to stay when being in Jaisalmer. First of all, the place is a shinig jewel in a town not short of gems, speaking architecturally. But this one will take your breath away. Being roughly 450 years old, it unifies beautifully decorated rooms with modern amenities. It would open a book of epic dimensions to name all the tiny details you can explore in your room. I had the opportunity to see all four rooms with my very own eyes and each of them is a world of its own. Coming from Europe you could maybe feel like in a desert version of a medieval house, coming from the States you probably have never seen anything like it. And here you have the chance in a place that could also easily work as a blueprint for a Jaisalmer haveli.
Apart from that, my hosts gave me an incredibly warm welcome and make me feel like a friend, not as a paying guest. This may seem like a common saying, especially since a lot of people will try to sell you stuff when you are in Jaisalmer. But this is more than a refugium from the carpet sellers, this place will make you feel like being really welcomed.

Me and a friend decided to go to jaisalmer without booking a room, we called and luckily they had one for us.
We felt like home and not in a hotel. They were so nice, helpful and very caring. We loved the experience and the amazing rooms. Strongly suggested!!!

Stayed in this hotel in the first week of October 2013 for 3 days and 2 nights. Overall had a very comfortable and pleasant stay. And the owner – Mr Giriraj made our stay all the more memorable. The only downside for some people might be that there is no TV in the room but for me personally, I preferred it that way only. Mr Hindu, the assistant, was also very helpful and cooperative. Would highly recommend this place.

We were recommended to stay at Shreenath Palace, a converted haveli, and it did not disappoint in its charm and character. The owner makes you most welcome and distributes small gifts and advice on arrival. The family do all they can to make you feel at home. Excellent position in one of the small alleys which twist and turn inside the fort.
The rooms are dotted with small alcoves and colourful drapes hang between pillars making it very atmospheric.

Room Tip: We had the two upper rooms with views of the temples.

Raj (the owner and generous host) is a legend! Nothing was too much trouble and he (together with his friendly staff) made our stay entertaining as well as very comfortable. The rooms are unique and exquisite in equal measure and the views from the roof top are the best in the walled city. Breakfasts are delicious (ask Raj if he can make you some puri).

Many thanks for making our stay so special.
