Clean and cosy

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 14 Apr 2017via mobile
Nice hostel, we stayed in the suite which was clean and spacious and pretty inexpensive for what it was!

The hostel itself was clean and the restaurant cheap, the food we had there was very nice. A nice rooftop to chill out on and a cool tortoise speeding about much faster than I imagined they could.

Overall I would recommend this hostel to anyone visiting jodhpur on a budget and looking for comfort and amicability.

I stayed for two nights in the room up the very top of the stairs which had a lovely view of The Fort. The room was basic and small but just enough for me and worth it. I found the bathroom and room quite clean and tidy. No complaints. Nice terraced area to chill with a swing chair and all. On my last night I ordered Dhal Fry and Roti which was absolutely delicious and spicy just the way I like it. I was very happy and full from the meal.

The location of the guesthouse in the Old Town was nice being in amongst all the blue houses. Pity about all the rubbish out the front of the door but I suppose you get that everywhere in India. Would be nice though if the owners just cleaned it up once in awhile.

If there was one thing I would recommend which would be to have a water refill station even if we have to pay 5 or 10 rupees. So we don't have to continually buy and waste plastic bottles. There's enough waste in India we don't need to add to it. I made the effort of using the free water stations available throughout town.

I would definitely recommend this place and stay here again.

Thank you for a lovely time.

Arrived in 35 degrees pretty flustered as it's a little trek up hill to the front door.. well worth it however as our rooms were super, big, and full of character and the view from the rooftop restaurant was amazing.
Spent the whole next day lounging there and reading with the two pet tortoises .
Magic.

well signed and an interesting walk up narrow streets, this place is full of character and is a great place from which to explore Jodhpur or just to relax on the lovely roof terrace. The food is a particular highlight and the staff are very helpful and accommodating. Great value.

Room tip: Check the shower is adequate.

Great view, good food, clean rooms. We preferred that it was in the old town, yes it's further from clock tower but also quieter and more interesting area. (It's still not that far) Staff booked our bus for us, and one particular staff member went out of his way to help us then even chased us to the bus station to return our lonely planet and towel we left in our room.. amazing!
Please bear in mind we rate this as 5* as a budget accommodation! It is up a steep hill and the shower wasn't the best/no toilet roll but we expected this for the price.
Cute rooftop set up and they have tortoises!
