We stayed here ,on recommendation of our driver as our arrangements had changed. The place was ok, all the rooms seem to be overlooking the courtyard and restaurant at the back.
Our room was cleanish, sparse , not very inviting.
Breakfast was ok , but the staff seemed quite disinterested.
My least favourite stay in our 18 day trip in India .

nice haveli type hotel - located in dense bazaar areas - it has its own charm - vehicle may not be necessary since autos rickshaws are available on the streets easily - centrally located as far as sightseeing goes.

This hotel is the best in town but be ready to negotiate
the first offer was at 2500 and we got it at 1500 rps.
Situated in a poor area, is a bit hard to find and hard to get in or out
The roof top area is great to admirer the city and the fort
The room was spacious and well furnish, plenty of hot water
The food were very well done and serve
some of the staff could be more pleasant at the reception

Arrived here by accident (recommended by Monsoon India Tours, very helpful thanks) but really enjoyed our stay. You approach the hotel via a side turning much like many Indian side turnings, a little dusty and forbidding but...The mid range pricing is excellent and the atmosphere of the hotel is great. The 19th century building and decor is very pleasant. Rooftop can be fun.Yes the rooms could be a bit more impressive but ours was clean, tidy and spacious. The location is very convenient. The staff were unfailingly helpful with all sorts of requests including a local tailor and the restaurant served good quality food from a basic menu. Overall our stay was a happy one so thanks to everyone for their efforts and I would recommend this hotel to friends...

Room Tip: think about a room away from the front where street sound can worry and ask for a big room and inspect first before booking in if possible
