We stayed at the Ranbanka Palace Hotel for 2 nights as part of our Travel Indochina Highlights of Rajasthan Tour.
Our room was downstairs with a veranda looking into the garden and pool area.
The room was clean and spacious but fairly basic.
All staff were very helpful and courteous and had great moustaches and turbans.
Breakfast was included and we ate both days in the outdoor restaurant and the food was varied and good.
We had dinner in the outdoor restaurant one night and ordered the Kebab Platter for 2 as an entree and then 2 curries and naan and rice for mains. Our dinner companions ordered the same and when we saw the size of the entree it would have been enough for a main meal for 2. Needless to say all 4 of us could not finish our meals, which was a shame as the food was really good.
Only down side was the location as there is not much around here except for a bottleshop, a couple of shops and On The Rocks Restaurant which is worth a visit for dinner.
At night “The Shoe Man” turns up on the lawn area and sells leather shoes, sandals, belts, purses and handbags all at better prices than the markets.
If possible request a courtyard/garden facing room and ask for an upstairs one as these have nice balconies.
