Singhvi's is very close to the fort but far from Clock Tower and autos charge a bomb
We got to the place at 5am and though they tried they couldn't give us a room till 10am . However the reception had 3 beds and they asked us to relax. We were given a beautiful antique room and that made up for the 4 hours wait The service at the restaurant was extremely slow and the food was disappointing.
Overall we had a pleasant and comfortable stay.

Singvi's is a dream. We arrived early in the morning and the only available room was a 2000 INR suite, which we hesitantly accepted as this was quite high for our budget. It was well worth it for a luxurius night in a beautiful 500 year old haveli suite with mirror-collaged walls, A/C, cable (I was sick and spent much of the day in bed watching Batman), and a bathroom which alone was bigger than some of the rooms we have stayed in at other hotels.
We also appreciated it very much when the hotel staff notified us when a cheaper room became available and assisted us in moving in the next morning. Though much smaller, the cheaper room (600 INR/night) was cool and comfortable and very clean.
The whole staff treated us with tremendous respect and friendliness, without ever once making it seem like fawning or tip-baiting. They seemed very genuine.
The food was okay and certainly was enjoyable with the rooftop view, but there are some tremendous restaurants to visit while in Jodhpur as well.
Also very nice was the short, well-signed path up to the backdoor of the nearby fort. If you enter this way and do not visit the fort museum, you do not need to buy a ticket.

Room Tip: There is a great range of room sizes and prices. Don't be afraid to ask to see your options befo...

And my reason for staying... and staying in Jodhpur.

Singhvi's Haveli is the most charming place I've stayed at in India (including a 5-star hotel with private plunge-pools in rooms). The rooms are all unique and decorated in a shabby-chic way. The open-air restaurant, lounge, and roof-top terrace are all decorated in high-end-back-packer traditional india style.

More than anything else, the view from the rooftop is unbelievable - a 360 degree panorama of Jodhpur. Tour guides even bring luxury travelers here for a beer of snack just for the view. The location is also perfect for early morning walks up a secluded, back-entrance to the fort.

In a nutshell, I'd recommend this place to anyone, even people who normally stay at 5-star places. For me, trading in the anal-retentive and hyper-organized operations of expensive, 5 star hotel for the character, laid-back and friendly vibe, and authentic atmosphere of Sighvi's.

Room Tip: There's a wide range of room rates/sizes. From other guests, the more deluxe rooms are worth the...

This place has a little style and is worth that bit more, though the price is reasonable for what you get. I took a bottom end room about which great care had been taken. Some of the mattresses are a bit tired, but, once that issue had been sorted out, I was able to settle in nicely for 3 nights,
The food is not great. I can understand that to complete GH's have to offer a rooftop restaurant, but you have to have a proper chef/cook to do the business. This is not a real complaint; there are lots of places to go for a meal.
I didn't like Jodhpur, once I'd gone round the fort, which is superb. All the cycle rickshaws have gone and the narrow lanes in the old town are absolutely ruined by traffic. 2 and 3 wheelers drive at high speed with no regard for anything or anyone, so a leisurely few hours in the bazaar becomes an impossibility. The food wasn't great in town, generally; one of the places listed in the LP guide served poor greasy food, at best.

this was the perfect place what we were looking for. feel in staying in royal place, which itself is a Haweli. Best view of Fort from the terrace and best view of town from the same.
no need of extra facility, which may kill the peace. good to see such beautiful places in Jodhpur.

This is a wonderful small heritage hotel in the old part of Jodhpur city. You can only reach it by tuktuk or on foot, so the streets are quiet and you are surrounded by homes. It is a very comfortable area to walk around in and you can easily reach the fort in just a few minutes. The staff were all very helpful and nice. I stayed in the blue room just off the balcony. It is a sweet, clean and comfortable room with plenty of light. This is an old home that they have turned into a small inn which is part of what makes it so nice and comfortable. And it also means that it is not super fancy. If you are looking for an upscale corporate hotel, this will not be your place. If you want to experience a relaxing and inviting inn in the city this is a good place for you.

We stayed here for 2 nights and chose a suite. The room was spacious and clean, with a decent bathroom and plenty of hot water. It was a little dark as our room had small windows. I would say it was a little expensive for what we got.

Our suite was on the first floor, just behind the entrance to the office area. The room has a glass door, so we found it quite noisy at night as staff tended to congregate outside the office in the evening and chat. I would definitely suggest checking with the hotel which suite you are in and avoid the one we stayed in if you can.

There is a nice roof terrace with beautiful views and the food in the restaurant was good and reasonably priced. There is free wifi available on the terrace and they serve beer.

The staff were friendly and accommodating, however we did have one annoying issue. We used their ticket booking service to arrange our bus from Jodhpur to Udaipur. We chose the 'Volvo' government bus service as we wanted an early start, reserved seats and had heard some of the private bus services can be unreliable. Unfortunately the hotel booked us on a bus to Jaisalmer by mistake. By the time they realised this, it was too late to get the bus we wanted. They did their best to make alternative arrangements, helped us with getting another bus and gave us a small discount on our bill. Mistakes happen, but this one meant we lost a few hours of our next day in Udaipur and had an uncomfortable bus journey on one of the standard bus services. Greater attention to detail would have avoided this happening!

Apart from this, not a bad place to stay and a great location.
