this is definitely one the finest hotels I ever stayed. The building is fantastic and a real palace with superb views over the country side. 39 suites each of them, individually decorated in a minimalistic way. The whole palace has been restored with a terrific good taste! Fantastic food (although we were the only ones in the dining room).
the only point of attention is the distance to udaipur, in india it is easy to underestimate the distances. and you should definitely take your time, not only for the travel to this hotel , but for enjoying it with it full splendiness.

Room Tip: all rooms are absolutely top.

I recently traveled to Rajasthan from America for my honeymoon and had an unbelievable experience at the Devi Garh. From the communication I exchanged with their staff leading up to our visit, to our arrival at the hotel (when we were showered with rose petals and my wife was presented with a bouquet) to the dining experience to our room (covered with rose petals and flower arrangements) we were treated like royalty. The service thoughout the entire stay was highly personalized, and the staff went the extra mile and beyond to make our visit special. The hotel itself is beautiful-- a real palace-- and the surrounding countryside (green fields, rolling hills) provides the perfect backdrop. The neighboring village is quiet and accessible, and the residents were friendly and welcoming (a welcome change from other larger cities we had traveled in). Staying at the hotel is not cheap, but-- especially by western standards-- the value (in terms of the service, room size, facility, and food) is fantastic. For example, we had a private dinner in the Sheesh Mahal room (the "Mirror Room"-- was once the King's private dining quarters) with our own server and musician and custom menu for the equivalent of 70$ apiece. Again, not cheap, but for what you are getting it is WELL worth it. I would recommend staying at this hotel to anyone, and I am confident that it would be an experience not soon forgotten.

Tip: be sure to have a private dinner in one of the many possible secluded locations around the palace (the aforementioned Sheesh Mahal was awesome); the camal ride was fun and memorable (and included in the cost of the hotel); the guided village walk was a great experience (the guide is a young man who grew up in the village and knew everyone there-- allowed us to have meaningful interactions with many locals and children); do not miss sunset at their terrace bar.

We stayed here in Dec 2013 as our last hotel on our Indian Experience. We were upgraded to a wonderful room that blended modern with ancient. It had wonderful views and was very opulent and had six different areas.

The Palace is beautifully located with superb views over the nearby hills. The hotel itself is fascinating and an exploration on its own.

Staff were very good and provided excellent service.

The restaurant and bar were located at the highest point in the Palace with wonderful views we thought the food was very good.

Amazing palace. The rooms and location are very beautiful. Only minus point is that the restaurant is extremely overpriced (and no choice to go elsewhere). I do find it really sad that they take advantage of tourists on this point. We did stay at similar quality hotels and we did not pay as much for food and drinks. I must also mention that we felt disappointed (sad) when the same waiter who was really nice the first night, almost ignored us (and bad service) the second evening just because we decided not to take any (overpriced) wine anymore.

We were lucky enough to stay here over the Christmas period, and it was an absolutely magical location. The Christmas eve dinner hosted in the courtyard was lovely, and the palace looked stunning decked out in festive lighting. This is a great place to relax, if you want to go into Udaipur it is not that far, but really if you are at this hotel for a few days you want to make the most of it! We had a spa treatment, which was excellent and reasonably priced, and also made the most of the complimentary activities. The palace tour was a bit like an estate agent's tour but did take you to some special little hidden places, so definitely worth it! The village tour was a highlight, and definitely recommend this! The guide who will take you is from the village so he knows everyone, and it was very relaxed and informative. The booklet says the tour is at 5pm or something, but actually they are happy to go at any time, just ask! We ended up spending much longer on the tour as we were very interested in the local crafts and shops. We also did the camel ride which was a treat, the camels are beautiful and you get to see a bit more of the surrounding area. It's great to have all these things to do within easy reach.

Rooms were comfortable and the pool and jacuzzi were the perfect temperature. Poolside service excellent as well! The restaurant is OK, the food is perfectly good but nothing special. The bar area is beautiful at night, very comfy with nice sunset views. The hotel manager was very attentive and always around checking up on things. The service was good by UK standards, but compared with other Indian hotels, it wasn't spectacular. We were greeted by two staff members on our first evening who were supposedly there to look after our every need, but we never saw them again after that! Only other complaint is that the gym is too small for a hotel of this size, and some of the equipment was broken. There was a queue for the treadmill on boxing day!

This is a really beautiful and different place, they just need to smooth out a few details and make sure that they keep the heritage charm and local flavour. We really enjoyed talking to the local people and it was so nice to have staff from the nearby area. I hope that they can maintain that uniqueness.

Having spent a busy few weeks traveling through India my arrival at Devi Garh was a breath of fresh air. Located only 35 minutes outside of Udaipur on a hilltop overlooking the village of Delwara this true Palace is stunning. It has a feel of authenticity and at the same time restored with exquisite style. We were pampered and taken care of at the highest level of service. The staff and management were friendly, accommodating, flexible and extremely efficient. I enjoyed relaxing by the pool, personal yoga services, a spa day, a private dinner in the tower, guided tours through the palace, village and surrounding country side. The highlight for me was a wonderful stroll through the village and up to an old hunting tower where we enjoyed a packed lunch and toasted that wonderful view.

We booked our last month’s Rajasthan holiday completely, replete with itinerary, air travel, hotel bookings and cab bookings in a relative hurry but experience turned out to be easy & pleasurable..15 days-10 cities ws too much but we never felt out of place or rushed & made most of the good hospitality in devigarh & other places. On our way to Udaipur we stayed at the small rural municipality of Rajsamand. The Devi Garh was a heritage resort located in the town and was a scenic place to stay. Part of the award winning Devi Nav Ratn and Rasa Group of Resorts the Devi Garh appeared as an oasis in the desert!!

The resort thrives on personalized services and we saw that from the moment we arrived. My wife and I were accorded supreme attention and we were attended to royally despite the presence of a sizeable number of guests.

The reception contained some artistic sculptures and wall hangings of the Rajasthani folk genre and this helped us settle into the “holiday mood” immediately. After we had our welcome drink we were taken to our room on the first floor. The twisted stairs and the oblique corridor looked quite unique in appearance and my wife was enamored by its beauty.

Our room was freshly designed with a modular look and according cuts. The bean bag was an interesting add - on in our room. At around 400 sqft the space was decent for a couple and moreover given the modular theme the space seemed on the higher side. Moreover the distinctive local look through the windows drove the room to a different height and we had a joyous time.

Our driver Raj Singh from Antilog Vacations ( travel agent who planned our whole tour) was a constant help & acted us guide on few occasions. Here in devi garh u don actually need a guide so his services were used.

The service of the housekeeping staff and the crew was noticeable too and one Mr. Mangi Lal helped us greatly. He opined that Devi Garh had been planned as a spa themed resort in the future and asked us to check out the spa before we left.

All in all a low cost yet effectively managed hotel.Kudos to everyone involved in making it as one of the best in rajasthan.
