From the point of view of tourism, Udaipur is the most significant place of Rajasthan. It has been founded by the then Maharana Uday Singh, shifting his capital from Chittorgarh to Udaipur. Udaipur has direct train links with Delhi, Ahmedabad, Mumdai and other major cities of the state. It has also an airport, directly connected with Delhi and other important places. It is also renowned as ‘City of Lakes’. Some of the famous Bollywood movies were shot in this beautiful picturesque place
We stayed in Hotel Deep Palace. The hotel is in the heart of the city. We were in a group. Some rooms in the ground floor of this hotel were really awful, but the rooms in the upper floors were however good. The room, we were allotted was cozy and homely, beds were comfortable and bathroom was clean.
We reached Udaipur at night, starting from Jaipur. Next morning, we went on sight-seeing. The main attraction is City Palace. Other than City Palace, we also saw Rana Pratap Smarak, Sahelion Ki Bari, Bharatiya Lok Kala Mandal, etc. In the afternoon, we went to see Nathdwara and Eklingji.
Next day, we started for Chittorgarh with the sweet memory of Udaipur.More
