We have been travelling round Rajasthan for three weeks and this is one of the nicest places we have stayed.
Our room overlooking lake Pichola was spotlessly clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. There was plenty of hot water 24 hours a day.
The rooftop restaurant served delicious freshly cooked food, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the view was idyllic.
The peaceful location near to the town made for a good nights sleep.
We will certainly stay here again if we return to Udaipur.

Excellent location overlooking Lake Pichola, only a short walk from the main city centre and tourist attractions. Room was clean and well appointed at an excellent price. Bed and pillows were soo comfortable. Hot water with a huge shower head..what more could you want. All staff were friendly, made me feel more like family than a tourist. View from the restaurant at brekky was so relaxing, sunning myself as I sipped coffee or chai. Owner Niraj and his lovely Wife were very welcoming and so helpful. I stayed for 14 nights. I've stayed at two other hotels in Udaipur and I'd rate Sargam Sadan above both, even above Lake Pichola Hotel when I stayed in Dec 2009. Great little Hotel.

The Sargam Sadan Hotel in Udaipur is situated in a very quiet neighbourhood, - but only a medium short walk from the bustling Old City. In our opinion, the Sargam Sadan definitely merits a warm recommendation: It offers view the Summer Palace; the lake shore – where people come to wash their clothes, - is barely 50m from the hotel.

The Sargam Sadan is no luxury hotel, but has all the necessary conviences. What is more, the owner obviuosuly has invested much pride and effort in the taseful decor of the rooms, the personal touch setting it apart from the run-of-mill hotels. The atmosphere is very friendly and helpful, the food on the roof terrace good.

On a trip through radjasthan we stayed 4 days in this very nice hotel. Although the hotel is near to the citycenter it is located on a very quiet place, for us we stayed in india since 12 days, it was the first place which was really quiet. The view from the roof top terrace over the lake and the town is great, every time a day and there you can feel like king and queen, the manager told us on our first day and this was true. Also the food you can enjoy there is very good.

The stuff is very friendly, especially the manager of the hotel. He told us a lot of interesting things about india in generally.

We arrived at 4.30 in the morning and fell into our comfortable beds for a few hours. Had a wonderful surprise when we opened the curtains to find we were on the shores of Lake Pichola overlooking the lake Palace.
We spent Diwali here and had a great experience with the owner, his wife and baby and staff. We were invited to join in the puja and fireworks on the roof.
Stayed longer than planned and would go back tomorrow.

The hotel is a little bit outside, but you can easily walk. The room is nice painted in similar colours and you have a nice view of Lake Pichola when sitting on the window-bed. Very queit and peaceful place.
All facilities and very clean rooms. Good service and nice, helpful stuff.
The restaurant is serving very good food, but the breakfastes was too big for me!
I had plans for staying 3-4 days at this hotel, but I stayed for 8 days!!!
I found a pearl that not everybody knows about - not even local people.

Very nice litle hotel. Only 10 minutes walk from the old town. A quiet place with fabulous views from the roof top restaurant over the lake and city. Very helpful and friendly staff. Recommended for a relaxing stay or a nice dinner at the roof top restaurant.
