The hotel has a fantastic location - on a hill top.
The room are real big and give a palacial feel.
The lawn facing balcony in each room is a luxury for people comming from metros.
The cottages are also good and spacious.
At night the pool side area pathway is litup with small lights and gives a amazing look.

Room Tip: If you want something different take a cottage at the top. It is a fabulus view.

The Resort has the look of a fort and looks splendid when it is lit in the evening. The rooms and baths are very spacious and give the view of Monsoon Palace.Performances by local artists in the evenings add to the atmosphere. Good place to visit in the winter.

Stayed here two nights 23rd & 24th February 2013. Large modern hotel situated about 20 mins from the centre of Udaipur in quiet location surrounded by hills. We had room 205 on 2nd floor. Large room with lovely patio/balcony area with chairs and table. Bathroom excellent, safe in room. I believe the hotel was renovated in 2012 and everything looked in good condition. Very large pool area with loungers. There was a medical convention on the day we arrived and the hotel was very busy but check in was smooth, and courteous. Dining room at lunch was slightly chaotic due to the convention who were all tucking into the buffet but we had a reasonable snack albeit after a lengthy wait. Dinner was a much better and quieter affair as the convention party were being dealt with in another area. Food was good and service excellent.
Breakfast buffet average.
Possibly this hotel is a little further from the centre of Udaipur than you would prefer but we did have our own transport so this was not a problem for us.

We were a group of 15 and we stayed at the Ramada Udiapur Resort and Spa in February. It was one of the best hotels that we stayed in. Coming from travel industry and north America, we found that the hotel was excellent, with very spacious rooms and to top it all, most courteous front office staff. A branded resort surrounded by hills overlooking the city. We would certainly book this resort again for future groups and FIT's

My wife and I stayed here in March 2013 as we were attending a wedding at a nearby hotel.

On arrival we were greeted well and check in was efficient and hassle free. In fact we were most impressed that our room was ready as we arrived early (8.30am) and that we had been given a room upgrade. We were shown to our room which was very pleasant and had a good view of the Monsoon Palace.

Whilst the living quarters in the room was very nice, the bathroom left a lot to be desired! It is in desparate need of renovation and a "good" clean would not have gone stray too! Hot water was hit and miss - more miss than hit unfortunately.

Service on the whole was not too bad - It was always slow but that's standard of most hotels and services in India as whole! The staff were always courteous and pleasant and wanting to help.

We only made it to breakfast on one day and did not bother the others. The food on offer was poor to say the least. The juices were not fresh but canned and the cooked breakfast not worth considering. This was a real shame as the food we had experienced elsewhere in the region was not bad.

When asking for transport to and from hotel - ask and double check prices! I was always quoted more from the Ramada to the wedding venue hotel than the return from the other hotel, not by much but it all adds up.

Overall a really average hotel - not a resort & spa but more of a base for seeing the local sights.

One final gripe - no free Wi-Fi! Which in this day and age is a must, especially when on check-out the staff ask you to post a review on tripadvisor!

Room Tip: Ask for a a room with a view of the Monsoon Palace

I found the rooms spacious and warm, however a little on the modern side in terms of the decor (you expect something rustic in the city of palaces and lakes). It's about 30 minutes from Lake Pichola (where most of the tourist attractions are), and finding local transport isn't easy in a city like Udaipur. The resort is beautiful and well-kept - very large, so golf carts have to shuttle you around the place. The food is just about average (dismal breakfast spread, and average lunch/dinner) - just 1 restaurant for the day, and 1 bar opens up in the evening. They put a few tables by the poolside with traditional local music and call it "poolside dining" - not impressive. The spa is well located (open air swimming pool with a few of the hills) but very small, just a couple of massage rooms and a sauna that hardly works, and no steam. And the hotel doesnt give free wifi to guests?! You can stay at Ramada if you aren't planning on spending too much time at the resort, and want to spend most of your time exploring the sights of Udaipur.

“ We had a wonderful stay at Udaipur; a city surrounded by mountains and lakes. What a beautiful city. During our stay

We booked Ramada Udaipur Resort and Spa siuated in the backdrop of aravali hills with fabulous views. Hotel is beautifully

Made with stone work. Service is nice and rooms are spacious. We had a balcony connected to our room and it was really
a beautiful room. Spa is also great with full relaxation to the body. Overall it is hotel with gardens and great views of
Hills and lakes.”
