Had searched lot of properties in Udaipur before selecting this one. The property looked awesome in pics as well as location. The Hotel was offering good deal as well. Thought it might be a off season and this property recently acquired by Radisson from Sheraton.

The Experience:
To start with, I could get early check in a couple of hours before. I was instantly upgraded to Business class room upon check in from Deluxe. Although The room did not give me a feel of a business category room. It looked more like a deluxe room. I could see shady patches of repair work on the walls and ceiling. The mini bar was empty and refrigerator was not working. I had to call for an replacement. There was no menu card in the room. Was given on request. The food I ordered was avg in taste and was exorbitantly expensive looking at the overall pricing and the way hotel is maintained. There were no toiletries in the bathroom except shower gel and soap. Again I expected a fully equipped bathroom. The coffee mugs placed at coffee maker were not clean. My package included buffet breakfast. This is something good to talk about. a lavish menu and good in taste. The spa was again expensive and a couple massage costed 9000 Rs.

Overall I would rate this property average as it does not give a feel of a 5 star from inside. From a distance, this property looks awesome specially at night.

In my last stay in udaipur, I selected the Lalit Laxmi Vilas. Would suggest it any day.

However, we would like to say that the property, as you know is newly acquired by the Radisson group, is going through some teething troubles. We are in the process of executing a massive Property Improvement Plan under which we shall also take care that the guest supplies are as per our Brand Standard. Comfortable hotel, great room service menu. Quality of dining was pretty good as well.

Staff service from those at reception was not impressive at all. I had to wait for well over an hour to get my room after I had specifically requested for early-check in as we had been travelling for a fair bit before reaching the hotel. In their defence, it was an extremely busy time of the year (Boxing Day), but given how many staff members they had sitting idly/walking about, the level of service was quite poor.

Otherwise, good value for money, clean and comfortable, short commute to city-centre and the various sights/attractions.

Room Tip: Choose Lake view rooms at a higher floor; lower floors get noisy especially during peak holiday seas...

Property is located very close to the city, but directions to reach there are pathetic. There is active road work being done just a km away from the property , there are no signs to even remotely suggest that the property is located where it is located, we ended up behind the property from where there is no entrance, travelers please take note google directions will land you in the wrong place. On reaching the hotel we were given a warm welcome, we were quickly checked in, overall the rooms were clean and livable. Bathrooms were clean, but we had very few towels. Room service is kind a slow. Plenty of food choices at their Aangan restaurant. Swimming pools are nice and clean. For kids they do have a play room with toys books and other amenities. Overall the experience was good, but much remains to be desired from the staff and their knowledge of the whereabouts of the city. To point a few , they did not even have a decent map of the city & asked us to go find a shop somewhere in the city and buy it from there. These are trivial things that should be taken care of at this price point. Our worst nightmare was to find our room door open , the evening we came back from touring the city. I have traveled a whole lot but never did i experience this. The property also hosts a lot of weddings, may be just the timing, but the crowd was extremely loud and noisy even at 3 AM in the lobby, and we were able to hear them in our second floor room. Not until we called the concierge asking them what is going on , did they act and had the crowd dispersed. Overall my rating at best will be 2-2.5, with what we have been through.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Not at all clean. Bathrooms stunk. Staff was not at all nice. Late services. When we asked for something they said come after some time very rudely. Would never come back again.

Stayed there for a day only. Located a bit far from city but once you reach the property you wont feel bad for travelling long. huge property...lush green gardens..nice pool..luxurious n cozy rooms..a bit slow and lazy room service. they don't provide basic utility things like bath robes,terry slippers and shower caps. food and restaurant part is nice. Hotel looks very beautiful from the outside especially in the evening and it has a great view of a fatehsagar lake. Overall a very nice place for a short stay.

It was our first trip to udaipur and we were booked with Radisson blu. As we reached the hotel we were given a warm welcome by a smiling Staff and followed by a quick checkin at the front desk. Hotel looks very beautiful from the outside especially in the evening and it has a great view of a fatehsagar lake. Staff here is extremely helpful,proactive and always ready to cater ur request. On request We immediately got a room with king size bed ,Our room had a great view and it was very spacious and comfortable but not very luxurious . Gud hospitality and polite staff here out shadows these minor issues. Next day We requested for a sightseeing and the front desk staff promptly arranged a vehicle .in the evening . We were amazed to see that room was cleaned but towels were not changed which after requesting they removed and replaced quickly . Swimming pool was an absolutely delight in this heat and the hotel has a double deck pool and it's well maintained . The best and the special mention here is for food which is extremely good especially breakfast buffet . Inspite being full at the time of breakfast the service in the restaurant was very prompt. when we requested for mango shake chef himself came and spoke to us about our choice and prepared a wonderful treat for us. We loved the way they treat their guests and deliver to the request . All along We have been staying in the Radisson properties And we always had Gud experiences and this hotel is another feather to the Radissons cap. A great value for money hotel. Will definitely stay again if we plan another trip to udaipur.

Well to start with I had an extremely busy week, so decided to hop into my car & reach the Sheraton Palace Resort. When we reached, I was in shock to find out that it is a Radisson Blu Palace Resort now. I was in doubt now but went ahead to give it a shot. Firstly I was amazed by the interaction of the Reception staff. It was an early morning smooth Check In by Savinay, although he was all alone in the lobby area and we had an infant with us. But we have been dealt in the most polite & professional manner. The baby cot was arranged by him as well which was a delight for me, on the case that he was doing everything on his own. I must appreciate his cooperative and helpful behavior. I must also mention about the state of the room which was poor and was demanding a desperate makeover, although my request of lake view upgardation was considered. Room cleaning department must pull their socks to do a better job as it was not upto the mark. Very next day early morning when I wanted a city tour of Udaipur and wanted some suggestions from the hotel staff again I found the same gentleman (Savinay) on his own in the reception. He really seems to have appropriate knowledge of the city with a warm smile & right attitude to serve customers. Thanks for making our weekend a memorable one and we will be back soon.
